‘24 Jump Street’ is happening. The movie will start filming in Atlanta in Q1 of 2027. Rodney Rothman, who wrote ‘22 Jump Street,’ is back to direct this one. Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube will be back to star. Rothman, Hill, and Meghan Malloy are writing the script. While the plot is under wraps, the movie will have underachieving cops Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) go undercover as foreign exchange students on their next mission, presumably under the direction of Dickson (Cube).
Jonah Hill’s recent acting credits include the comedy drama ‘Outcome,’ starring Keanu Reeves, which he also directed, and the Netflix drama ‘You People,’ co-starring Eddie Murphy. Hill’s upcoming project is ‘Cut-Off,’ also helmed by him. The story follows two rich siblings who are cut off from their parents. Joining him in the cast are Kristen Wiig, Nathan Lane, Bette Midler, Chelsea Peretti, Cary Christopher, and Langston Kerman.
Channing Tatum most recently starred in ‘Roofman,’ based on the life of robber Jeffrey Manchester, the psychological thriller ‘Blink Twice,’ and the war drama ‘Atropia.’ Next in the actor’s upcoming slate is the thriller ‘Josephine,’ which was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival. There is also ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ where we will see him return as Gambit. The movie will be released on December 18, 2026.
Ice Cube recently played a meta version of his character Danny Rich from the 1997 movie ‘Anaconda’ in the horror comedy movie of the same name, starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd. Before that, we saw him in the disaster movie ‘War of the Worlds.’ Another project starring him that has been greenlit is the comedy movie ‘Are They Gone Yet?,’ the third film in the ‘Are We There Yet?’ franchise. Cube will reunite with Nia Long again.
Rodney Rothman has co-directed ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,’ his feature directorial debut. ‘24 Jump Street’ is his sophomore directorial project.
