Even as ‘90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ season 7 is airing, TLC has given the go-ahead for another season! Moviedelic has discovered that ‘90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ has been renewed for season 8. Given the unique stories and intriguing dynamics presented in season 7 already, we can only imagine the myriad of possibilities that await us for the next season, which is accepting new applications of cross-border romances now.
One of the most striking stories of season 7 is undoubtedly the romance between Rayne from New Mexico and Chidi from Nigeria. The two have been nurturing their long-distance relationship for five years and have a lot riding on their first meeting. Their circumstances become even more complicated given that Chidi is blind and a devout Christian with an orthodox lifestyle, while Rayne wants to make him believe in the existence of aliens and the Illuminati. Chidi’s vow of chastity before marriage may pose another challenge for the couple as Rayne seeks to become intimate after their meeting.
Another couple with many religious and cultural barriers to cross on top of their age gap is that of 41-year-old Tigerlily from Texas and 23-year-old Adnan, a model from Jordan. A mother of two, Tigerlily had given up on relationships after her marriage of ten years ended until she met and fell for Adnan online. After just four months of knowing him virtually, she seeks to marry him as soon as she lands in Jordan. Seeking to risk it all for a second chance at love, Tigerlily has so far not heeded her friends’ concerns, who advise caution when it comes to the religious and cultural differences that may arise from Adnan being a Jordanian Muslim.
33-year-old Loren is taking his own leap of faith for his 31-year-old transgender partner, Faith, from the Philippines. Done with toughing it out in Las Vegas, Loren seeks to settle down in the Philippines unbeknownst to Faith. The meeting is especially significant for Faith as well, since she has not had a boyfriend before. Season 8 will feature entirely new cast members since ‘90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ is a prequel show whose cast members may go on to feature in ‘90 Day Fiancé.’ ‘90 Day Fiancé’ itself has also been renewed for a new season by TLC, with auditions for season 11 underway.
