Cameras are ready to roll in Vancouver for the upcoming Hallmark production, ‘A Dad For Christmas.’ Jason Bourque is set to direct this forthcoming venture. The plot revolves around a 12-year-old Sunshine Scout who takes it upon herself to find a new romantic partner for her mother. Her target? The attractive owner of a nearby bakery. Vancouver, the Canadian entertainment hub, has hosted previous Hallmark projects like ‘Hope at Christmas’ and ‘Love, Lights, Hanukkah!’

Jason Bourque’s last directorial venture, ‘A World Record Christmas,’ delved into the heartwarming tale of an autistic boy’s quest to break a world record on Christmas Eve, igniting a bond among his family and community. Prior to this, Bourque helmed ‘Ms. Christmas Comes to Town,’ portraying the journey of a shopping channel host, known as Ms. Christmas, who embarks on a multi-city excursion to spread holiday cheer after receiving a terminal diagnosis. Additionally, Bourque directed ‘Game of Love,’ taping into the collaboration between Audrey and Matthew to create a game aimed at fostering romance, leading them to realize their own lessons in love. Among his directorial credits is ‘The Honeymoon Pact,’ where Ella’s jilting at the altar prompts her best friend Lindsey to embark on their honeymoon together, but complications arise when Lindsey finds love with holiday rep Josh.

Hallmark brings forth a diverse array of upcoming movies to captivate audiences. In ‘A Whitewater Romance,’ directed by Jason Bourque and starring Cindy Busby and Ben Hollingsworth, Maya attends a business retreat in the Rocky Mountains, where she encounters Matt, initially her competitor. As they’re compelled to collaborate, an unexpected connection blossoms. Meanwhile, ‘Everything Puppies’ features Pascal Lamothe-Kipnes, Stephen Huszar, and Kathryn Davis, portraying the journey of an ambitious entrepreneur delving into the world of innovative dog toys and treats, finding success with the support of a charming client. Moreover, ‘Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home,’ helmed by director Michael Robison and starring Amanda Schull and Brendan Penny, revolves around a former Army surgeon who returns to her hometown to join a family doctor practice. However, her tranquil life takes a thrilling turn when she becomes entangled in solving the mysterious death of a patient.
