CTV Comedy Channel has renewed the TV series ‘Acting Good’ for a third season. The filming of the upcoming installment is set to commence in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in April. Pat Thornton, Amber-Sekowan Daniels, and Eric Toth return as showrunners along with the directors Michael Greyeyes, Darlene Naponse, and Mary Galloway.
In the latter half of the second season, Paul faces an unexpected confrontation with an online nemesis, bringing the digital conflict into the real world. Health Week introduces a potential romantic interest for Jo, adding a new dynamic to the main narrative. Roger Laughingstick’s departure from his job in protest of Jo’s chiefdom unravels new revelations as Paul stumbles upon the radio DJ’s memoir, sharing it live on air. The Grouse Lake volleyball team’s pursuit of scoring a single point unfolds, while Jo grapples with the realization that band constable Lips is her best friend.
The installment concludes with the community gathering for Monster Bingo, rekindling old rivalries and sparking fresh conflicts. As an impending wedding and an untimely event force Paul to confront maturity, Jo deals with the responsibility of parenting Chickadee and seeks support. A wedding and funeral bring Grouse Lake together, depicting both Paul’s pursuit of love and Jo’s evolving perspective on an old nemesis.
The third season promises more laughs, heartfelt moments, and unexpected twists as Paul navigates life in Grouse Lake, with potential romances for Jo, revelations concerning Roger’s departure, and ongoing comedic situations like the volleyball team’s endeavors. Winnipeg, the principal location of the upcoming season, previously hosted the shooting of productions such as Paramount+’s drama series ‘Skymed,’ Woody Harrelson-starrer ‘Champions,’ and Lifetime’s crime drama thriller ‘The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story.’
