It was around 2019 when AJ and Britney Thomson first became romantically involved after coming across one another on a dance floor, only to soon fall utterly head over heels in love. Therefore, after 5 incredible years together, the latter wholeheartedly believed they were ready for the next natural step of marriage, despite her just being 27, but her partner thought otherwise. That’s how they ended up on Netflix’s ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love’ season 2, where the 28-year-old candidly admitted she wanted to be more financially secure before walking down the aisle.
AJ and Britney’s Differences Only Seemed to Heighten As Time Passed
Although Britney was the one who brought AJ into this experiment in the hopes they could grow as individuals before somehow meeting in the middle, she soon grew uncomfortable. That’s because this process comprises a couple breaking up, dating around, coupling up with someone new for a trial marriage, and then doing it all over again with their original partners. It wasn’t that Britney didn’t know what she was getting into, but she really struggled with immediately having to let go of her love and then jumping into an intense dating environment.
Britney wasn’t shocked when AJ connected with 3 different women in just a week, who all really liked her too, since she knew her partner had charisma. However, the whole concept of being away from her kept running in the back of her mind. This continued even after she coupled up with Marita Prodger (by default) while AJ did so with Marie Angeline, and it was to such an extent that she even gave her original partner a call to meet up. They communicated like this twice within the first few days before they realized they had to wholly commit to the experiment, and that’s exactly what they did.
Little did they know this would create a distance between them as Britney realized that her connection with Marita was actually easy, while AJ comprehended she needed the little things more. When they reunited, they were extremely excited since their love had never wavered, yet things had changed because Britney was now hearing that AJ needed more from her for the first time. They were things she used to do before she established her own business, so she felt rather strange about it, too. As for Britney’s stance on their relationship, she grew in her confidence, so she still struggled with understanding why it wasn’t an easy choice for AJ to say yes to a marriage to her if she really did love her the way she said she did.
AJ and Britney Appear to Have Parted Ways
While neither AJ nor Britney has explicitly confirmed or denied their relationship status as of writing, it does seem like they parted ways for good once filming of this reality show concluded. Not only do they not follow one another on their respective social media accounts or have any images together, but they also appear to be leading entirely different lives with little to no contact. In fact, their Instagram pages are completely vacant of any hint of their romance – past or present – so we can only assume that maybe things didn’t end very well between them. Nevertheless, it’s imperative to note that both AJ and Britney seem content with where they stand as individuals in both their personal as well as professional lives, which is all that matters in the long run.
AJ and Britney Are Both Hard Working Professionals in Their Respective Fields
While not a lot about AJ’s background is publicly available, as of writing, we do know she hails from Orlando, Florida, where she was once also a renowned radio personality. However, today, at the age of 29, this self-proclaimed “Creative in Motion” is a professional Master of Ceremonies (MC) and an Administrative Assistant who prioritizes her culture and community above all else. We should mention that being a proud member of the LGBT+ community is one of the reasons she recently shared that while she has a great relationship with her parents today, they initially didn’t accept her sexuality. It wasn’t until she showed them she is still the same caring, kind, loving woman they raised, no matter who she loves, that they came around, even though it still took many arguments. She shared this to celebrate Pride Month and to prove to others they are not alone – she wants them to know that patience, time, understanding, and love can sometimes make everything okay.
Coming to Britney, after putting herself through college and the University of Central Florida to become a registered nurse, the Orlando, Florida, resident is now a proud entrepreneur. She actually combined her medical knowledge and passion for aesthetics to launch VitaLuxx IV Lounge & Med Spa in 2022, where she currently serves in the position of Founder-CEO. This is a luxury vitamin therapy and skincare brand that offers customers private pampering as well as replenishment sessions as per their individual needs, which makes it really stand out. In other words, the entrepreneur and bunny mom (she has a pet rabbit named Bello) is incredibly busy these days, but she also seems perfectly content, and we can’t wait to see what’s in the cards for her next.
