Alex Stunz: Where is the Virgins Star Now?

TLC’s ‘Virgins’ explores the deeply personal journeys of individuals navigating intimacy later in life. In the show’s first season, Alex Stunz stood out as someone who was determined to grow, learn, and break free from long-held fears. He often struggled with low self-confidence, which kept him from fully putting himself out there in romantic situations. This pattern led to missed opportunities and lingering frustration. Throughout the season, however, Alex made a conscious effort to face these insecurities head-on. By stepping outside his comfort zone, he gradually began reshaping his mindset, proving that it’s never too late to change.

Alex Stunz Shed His Inhibitions to Find a Date For Himself

At 34 years old, Alex Stunz was living in his parents’ attic in Reading, Pennsylvania, and driving his mom’s minivan. These circumstances had quietly eroded his self-esteem over the years. While he often leaned into humor to mask it, he admitted that his living situation made him feel like he was “behind” in life. That self-doubt kept him from ever seriously pursuing a girlfriend or seeking out meaningful romantic connections. Being on the season became a turning point. As part of his journey, Alex took bold steps toward building confidence, starting with a visit to an esthetician for a full grooming session and a much-needed makeover.

Feeling better about his appearance was just the beginning. He began to challenge himself socially, too, like trying tantra-based speed dating sessions that pushed him out of his comfort zone. One of his most memorable moments came when a close friend encouraged him to go out to a bar, helped him practice pickup lines, and stood by cheering as Alex approached strangers with a newly sparked confidence. For the first time, he wasn’t just thinking about what he lacked but was taking action. Each experience chipped away at his hesitation and helped him believe he was worthy of connection.

Alex Stunz is Working as a Behavioral Specialist Today

Professionally, Alex Stunz has been building a meaningful career in the field of behavioral health. After spending several years at Pennsylvania State University–Penn State Berks, where he studied Criminal Justice from 2009 to 2016, Alex channeled his passion for helping others into the mental and behavioral health field. In September 2017, he began working as a Behavior Specialist at New Story, an organization that provides customized education and behavioral support for children with complex needs. There, he gained valuable hands-on experience working with students and helping develop strategies tailored to each individual’s behavioral and emotional growth.

In March 2020, Alex took the next step in his career by joining Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based specialty healthcare, as a Behavioral Health Technician. Based in Reading, Pennsylvania, his role involves providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live more independently and thrive within their communities. His work requires not only technical knowledge but also patience, empathy, and resilience, and these traits Alex has consistently demonstrated. While he may have once struggled with self-confidence, his professional life shows a steady track record of growth and purpose, reflecting someone committed to making a real difference in the lives of others.

Alex Stunz Enjoys Being Physically Engaged in Different Sports

Alex Stunz’s life today is a vibrant mix of personal passions, family, and new creative pursuits. His parents, Carin and Steph Stunz, remain a very important part of his life, and his sisters, Rebecca and Courtney, have always been his biggest supporters. In fact, it was their encouragement that led him to participate in the season, and they pushed him out of his comfort zone and into a new chapter of self-discovery. He adores his nephew and often drops by to meet him. Athletically inclined, Alex enjoys staying active through soccer, golf, and regular gym sessions. He’s also a dedicated member of a local softball team called Bertie’s, where he’s built strong camaraderie with his teammates. While he once coached a middle school girls’ basketball team, he has recently stepped away from that role to explore new horizons.

In 2022, Alex made a bold move toward a career in the entertainment industry, signing with Image International as his agency. With a strong portfolio in hand, he’s been steadily pitching for roles and expanding his presence in front of the camera. A serendipitous opportunity came his way in May 2024 when he landed a role in a community play through a friend. Embracing the stage with enthusiasm, he found a creative outlet that combined his growing confidence with his natural charm. Active in his community and supported by those closest to him, Alex continues to evolve both personally and professionally. Whether he’s on the field, at the gym, or stepping into a new role, he embodies the spirit of someone committed to pushing boundaries and chasing his potential on his own terms.
