Alister Douglas Today: Amy Bradley Case Figure Turned Church Leader

It was March 24, 1998, when 23-year-old Amy Lynn Bradley suddenly disappeared while enjoying a family vacation on a cruise across the Caribbean, only to never be heard from again. The young woman loved life to the fullest and was extremely close to loved ones, as explored in Netflix’s ‘Amy Bradley is Missing,’ which has long curbed rumors of her attempting suicide. Therefore, many believe foul play of some sort was definitely involved, and this immediately brings up Alister “Yellow” Douglas since he is possibly the last person to ever see her onboard.

Alister “Yellow” Douglas’ First Love Has Always Been Music

Although not much about Alister “Yellow” Douglas’ background or early years is publicly available as of writing, we do know he is a native of Grenada City in Saint George’s, Grenada. It has been reported that he actually hails from a rather musical family, which propelled him to develop an interest in the same, starting at the age of 8 before joining his local church’s gospel group.. It was here that he learned to play the bass, and once he had perfected it, he embraced the Royal Grenada Police while finding himself joining the Royal Grenada Police Force Band.

Alister was 21 when he started collaborating with local musicians for his art, and by the end of it, he had secured the position of a bass player in the band Blue Orchid. This band eventually secured a deal with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. From there, he went on to perform live on a daily basis, learning the differences in genres before booking gigs across Grenada, Trinidad, and St.Vincent when he was on vacation from the ship. No matter where he was in life — going through relationships, becoming a parent, or more — music stayed with him and helped him gain new perspectives.

Alister “Yellow” Douglas Spent Some Crucial Hours With Amy Bradley

It was on March 23, 1998, on the second day of the cruise itself that Amy told her family that she had been flirting with the bass player of the cruise band. It all seemed innocent and fun, but things changed once Amy disappeared after attending the disco, where she was seen dancing with the same man. As per Amy’s brother, after she had arrived back in their room, she had told him that the bass player had tried to make a move, but she seemed mostly unaffected by it. The duo has even been captured on tape dancing together, and they are very identifiable.

According to records, Amy’s father had woken up from slumber at around 5-5:30 am and seen Amy’s feet as she slept in the lounge chair of the balcony, but when he awoke properly at 6 am, she was nowhere to be found. Her slippers were still on the balcony, the balcony door was open, and her overshirt was also on a chair. What’s more, two women who were at the disco with Amy and Yellow were reportedly on the upper deck at 5:30 am, and they later told officials that they had seen Amy and Yellow together at this time. However, just minutes later, they saw Yellow again, but alone.

As per reports, Yellow has always maintained that making guests feel comfortable by flirting with them is something he often did, and that while he was bothered by the whole ordeal, he wasn’t responsible. The FBI even had him undergo a polygraph in the initial days after Amy did not wash ashore or was present anywhere else, but it was ultimately deemed to be inconclusive. Furthermore, per an eyewitness who claims they saw Amy in August of the same year on an island, they said someone matching Yellow’s description to a tee was with her and refused to let her speak. The fact Alistor has always been mum about the matter hasn’t helped his case either, though, but he has always maintained his innocence.

Where is Alister Douglas Now?

Ever since Yellow’s name has been associated with Amy Bradley’s case, he has preferred to lead a quiet life well away from the spotlight to protect his and his family’s privacy. However, we do know that he reportedly continued his music journey to the best of his abilities, even if it came at the expense of his personal relationships, especially his first marriage and daughter. Yes, he didn’t do great when he was younger, but he has admittedly long since been trying to do better every single day by running his own band and studio. From what we can tell, the last group he was in was called USB (United Sound Band).

Coming to Yellow’s current standing, from what we can tell, this St. George’s, Grenada, resident is now a God-fearing and God-loving man. In fact, he was ordained as a reverend for the Church of the Nazarene, Grenada Inc., in March 2023. Since then, he has often gone by Revarand Christopher Douglas, who leads a congregation of 40-50 individuals every Sunday, all by himself. As if that’s not enough, according to his own accounts, Yellow has since also embraced the role of a local exorcist. We should also mention that he is a happily married man and that he presently shares a young son with his current wife and the love of his life.
