All Things Valentine Filming Locations
The filming for All Things Valentine took place in the British Columbia region of Canada. The filmmakers chose Vancouver as their destination, and it was a safe bet, as it has been for many Hallmark films. Production began on November 30, 2015, and wrapped up on December 15, 2015, right in the heart of the festive season. Many of the actors were balancing their time on set with holiday celebrations alongside their families. The shoot coincided with Sarah Rafferty’s birthday, and the cast and crew came together to celebrate the occasion despite their demanding schedule. With Canada’s notoriously cold winter in full force, temperatures often dropped below freezing, making outdoor scenes especially challenging. However, the dedicated cast powered through the icy conditions, delivering their best performances while bundled up between takes. Some parts of the film were later shot in Portland, Oregon, as well.
Vancouver, British Columbia
The team had access to a house in a private residence in the Murrayville neighborhood of Langley, where they filmed most of the indoor scenes. For outdoor sequences, one of the notable locations used was David Lam Park, a scenic spot in Vancouver known for its lush greenery and stunning waterfront views. This picturesque location served as the backdrop for the scene in which Brendan and his friend Kit are seen jogging and having a conversation. Additionally, one of the important moments in the film—Avery and McKenna’s serious conversation—was also shot here, utilizing the park’s tranquil environment to enhance the emotional depth of their discussion. Vancouver has long been a favorite filming destination due to its diverse landscapes, efficient production facilities, and experienced crew base.
Portland, Oregon
Portland, Oregon, is a city that feels like it was made for the movies. With its mix of quirky urban charm and breathtaking natural beauty, it offers the perfect backdrop for any kind of story. Pittock Mansion offers sweeping views of the city stretching out behind the characters, and the Portland Japanese Garden adds to the peaceful setting. The towering evergreens of Forest Park bring a sense of adventure, while the lively energy of Pioneer Courthouse Square captures the essence of city life. It’s no wonder films like ‘Twilight’ and ‘Into the Wild’ were shot here, and they take advantage of Oregon’s misty forests and rugged landscapes. Even Coraline, with its eerie yet mesmerizing stop-motion world, was filmed here.
