Allblk Orders Wild Rose; Starts Filming in Los Angeles in November

Allblk is all set to host a gunslinging showdown! Moviedelic can confirm that the network has ordered the crime drama series ‘Wild Rose,’ also known as ‘Roosevelt.’ The show will enter production in Los Angeles, California, in November. Deji LaRay wrote the series, with Dale S. Lewis and Erik White on board as the directors. Omarion, a famed singer and dancer, headlines the cast.

The plot revolves around Roosevelt, also known as “Rose,” a suave and enigmatic hitman with a moral compass who hails from a lineage of professional assassins. He operates out of Civil, an organization that appears to be a typical nonprofit but secretly functions as a high-end, family-run assassination agency targeting prominent individuals.

LaRay is an actor-writer known for playing Greg Johnson in Bounce’s comedy-drama series ‘Johnson’ and Officer Julius Edgewood in the crime drama shows ‘Bosch’ and ‘Bosch: Legacy.’ His credits also include Andrew in the action thriller series ‘Age of the Living Dead.’

Omarion has previously appeared in popular shows like ‘Grown-ish’ and ‘Ugly Betty.’ As a singer, he rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the band B2K. The highlights of his career include the  #1 Billboard Hot 100 song “Bump, Bump, Bump” and the studio albums ‘O’ and ’21.’

In a similar vein, earlier this year, Allblk released ‘The Hunted,’ directed by Louis Lagayette, in which a Sudanese woman escapes the horrors of civil war only to face a new threat after being “rescued” by aristocrats. What begins as salvation turns into a nightmare as sinister truths unfold, echoing the theme of deceptive facades seen in Civil’s covert operations.

The network has also offered dark and intense narratives such as ‘Double Cross,’ which follows a doctor and her twin brother, a drug dealer, taking on the mission of dismantling a local sex trafficking ring, and ‘Terror Lake Drive,’ in which a single mother’s attempt to escape her troubled past by moving to a new city brings her face to face with inescapable dangers.

Recent high-profile crime dramas such as ‘The Penguin’ and ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ were also filmed in Los Angeles.
