In October 2016, famed dentist Lawrence “Larry” Rudolph killed his wife, Bianca Rudolph, with a 12-gauge shotgun during their hunting trip in Zambia’s Kafue National Park. In order to cover up his crime, Larry claimed that Bianca had accidentally pulled the trigger herself while trying to put the shotgun in its case. It turned out that his secret girlfriend, Lori Milliron, with whom he had been having an affair for over a decade or so, was also an accomplice in the murder. NBC’s ‘Dateline: Safari Story’ explores the entire case and the investigation that spanned several years, before the two perpetrators were brought to justice.
Initially, Larry and Bianca’s children, AnaBianca and Julian Rudolph, fully supported their father and believed he was innocent. When Larry requested to be released from custody while awaiting trial, his children vouched for him in sworn affidavits, claiming to know him better than anyone else. However, when the two were exposed to all the incriminating evidence against their father, their stance changed drastically.
