Angela Green’s Husband Alleged She Had Been Admitted to a Psychiatric Hospital
Angela Green was born in Hebei, China, in 1968, where she spent her early years living with her parents and her sister, Catherine. In her 20s, she was introduced to Geoffrey “Geoff” Green through a mutual friend, who was working temporarily in China as a mechanic. The two soon began dating, and after about a year, Angela moved to Prairie Village, Kansas, to start a new life with him. Geoff had previously been married and had a child, though it has been alleged that Angela was unaware of this before relocating. The couple eventually married, and in 2000, their daughter, Ellie Green, was born.
Angela was a devoted and committed mother who stayed home full-time to care for her daughter. She wanted Ellie to have a bright future, but Angela herself was not very outgoing. She rarely stepped out without her husband or daughter, and many assumed this was because of a language barrier. Her sister, who had also settled in the Kansas City area with her own family, later claimed that Angela would often speak to her in English, even though they had grown up conversing in Mandarin, which she found unusual. Over time, the sisters drifted apart and were no longer very close. By 2019, Ellie had left for college and spent that summer studying in Italy.
Ellie returned home on June 19, 2019, and she and her mother got into an argument. It was mainly about Ellie’s newfound independence and her boyfriend, but emotions escalated. For the first time, Angela asked Ellie to leave the house and stay somewhere else. Hurt, Ellie went to her boyfriend’s home. On June 20, 2019, neighbors reported seeing Angela at the family’s residence on the 7600 block of Tomahawk Road. She was never publicly seen again. On June 23, 2019, Geoff texted Ellie claiming that her mother had suffered a mental breakdown and had been taken to an institution “down south.” He refused to provide further details and told Ellie not to worry.
Angela Green’s Daughter Filed a Missing Persons Report 8 Months After Her Disappearance
Ellie Green was worried but initially had no reason to suspect anything more serious. On July 16, 2019, she was shocked when her father, Geoff Green, told her that Angela had died from a heart stroke at the hospital. Almost immediately, certain things felt strange to her. Angela Green’s Case is Still Under Investigation
Angela Green’s case remains ongoing, and only limited information has been made public. A missing persons report was formally filed in February 2020 by her daughter, Ellie Green. Since then, authorities have not announced any major breakthroughs or publicly named a person of interest. Angela’s personal belongings, including her phone, passport, driver’s license, and other important items, were reportedly left behind at the house, and there has been no verified activity linked to her elsewhere.
