If you are a fan of reality television, then you are most definitely familiar with the intense drama, entertainment, and romance TLC’s ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ brings to the forefront. So, with it now back for season 8 after a break of 10 months, we are introduced to some brand-new long-distance international couples as they meet in person for the first time. Among them is Aviva Duhamel and Stig da Artist (or Docta Maw), whose relationship has been nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster owing to their drastically different family expectations.
Aviva and Stig Have Faced Their Fair Share of Issues Over Time
Although it’s unclear precisely who approached whom as of writing, the romance between Aviva Duhamel from Scottsdale, Arizona, and Stig da Artist from Belmopan, Belize, started in 2023. A social media video sparked their initial interaction, even though they were 2,500 miles apart. They felt an instant spark, leading them to decide they should continue getting to know one another. Neither of them ever imagined that this chance encounter would lead to them developing a genuine connection, which eventually made them fall utterly head over heels in love.
It didn’t matter to Aviva and Stig that they had a 4-year age difference – he is older – and they even tried to reason with those of her close loved ones who questioned the longevity of their bond. Therefore, after two years of online conversations, the 26-year-old finally made the trip to her boyfriend’s homeland, hoping it would culminate in a proposal, as she was ready for a commitment to a lifetime of love. Their physical and sexual chemistry seemed to be off the charts, yet trust issues soon arose because it turned out he was apparently thinking of having a baby with an ex-girlfriend. She was obviously not okay with this and wondered if he was indeed ever popular with women owing to his career as a musician, but it seems like they were gradually able to make things work.
Aviva is a Deeply Family-Oriented Young Woman
From what we can tell, Aviva is a proud native of Arizona and prefers to lead a relatively quiet life there, surrounded by her tight-knit family and close group of real friends. She doesn’t necessarily share her daily experiences on social media, despite having a public profile, but she also doesn’t shy away from sharing key moments or memories from her life. It’s evident that she is a travel enthusiast with a deep passion for cooking. Yet, her top priority will always be her personal relationships with her parents, elder sister Kayla Duhamel, younger sister Rena Shaw-Woldman, friends, and Stig.
Aviva first visited Belize around November 2021, unaware that her future beau would be from there. She has since taken several other national and international trips to satisfy her wanderlust. She explored the beauty of Mexico in December 2022, followed by a trip to Florida in May 2023, Washington in July and August 2023, and Puerto Rico in October 2023. She returned to Washington in the spring of 2024, before traveling to Hawaii for a friend’s wedding in July 2023. Most recently, she visited Las Vegas, Nevada, in April 2025 for a fun time with friends.
