Nonetheless, a trip gone wrong to Mexico brings the duo to a near-death situation that drives an eternal wedge between them. Consequently, six months later, while the older brother remains missing, Terry tries to run things in his absence and expand his control over the gang. Meanwhile, an older enemy grows stronger in the shadows as he works toward taking back the reins of his life. As such, as the interpersonal rivalry within the crime family grows, the brothers find themselves gearing up toward bigger trouble. SPOILERS AHEAD!

Terry Struggles in Meech’s Absence

Six months after a disastrous trip to Mexico, Meech goes off the radar to the point where even his brother remains oblivious to his whereabouts. Nonetheless, in his absence, Terry tries to keep things afloat by maintaining the cash flow within their organization. However, one shady character from St. Louise, T-Pusha, who has a habit of only dealing with Meech, consistently backlogs his payments. After multiple warnings and phone calls, Hoop promises to take care of the problem for Terry while he attends his sister’s high school graduation. Nicole’s graduation marks an important day in the history of the Flenorys since she’s the first from her family to finish high school.

Naturally, the family goes all out in the celebratory afterparty, and Terry even buys his little sister a pricey diamond necklace. Nonetheless, much to his chagrin, Meech uses the same opportunity to make his comeback, with a four-wheeled gift of his own that easily upstages his brother’s gift. Worse yet, when the latter leaves the party early to deal with T-Pusha, Meech intervenes again. As it turns out, the St. Lousie dealer has already paid the other brother, which severely undermines Terry’s leadership and his credibility. Inevitably, this leads to a big fight between the brothers where punches aren’t pulled and blood is drawn. Ultimately, one thing remains clear: whatever happened between the two in Mexico has permanently changed their dynamic for the worse.

Lamar Silas Overcomes His Addiction

The last we see of Lamar Silas, the Flenory brothers’ most prolific rival, he’s addicted to crack and largely neutralized as a threat. Nonetheless, he doesn’t plan on staying down for long. After continuous struggles and hardships, he finds himself in a court-mandated rehabilitation program, where he manages to work on himself for the better. He remains three months sober and even identifies his other addictive fallacies, such as his inclination toward power, money, and revenge. As he exits the program, he does so with a promise not to fall back on his old ways.

As Lamar is leaving, he gets a mystery visitor. Although the details of this conversation are kept under wraps for now, it seems to flip a switch for the man. Even if he might keep his word about abstaining from his other vices, he doesn’t hesitate to go after revenge the first chance he gets. As a result, Meech and Terry find themselves under attack at a random parking lot as their old enemy opens fire at them. Even though they manage to take cover for a while, it’s evident that this isn’t a situation they can escape from. Fortunately for them, Brian, an old contact they cut ties with long ago, manages to arrive to their rescue in the nick of time. Even though this doesn’t win him a place back in their good books, Brian saves their lives. Still, as Lamar manages to escape the scene even after taking two bullets to his shoulders, his threat continues to loom over the horizon.

Meech Almost Died in Mexico

Meech and Terry have had their ups and downs in the past. Nonetheless, their rivalry this time around seems much more substantial and heavy enough to stick around for long. As it turns out, an unbelievable incident unraveled between the brothers on their trip to Mexico. The two, accompanied by Loco, were running away from some enemies when a venomous snake bit Meech’s leg. Once poison entered his system, his condition worsened, edging him toward certain death. While Loco went out to find help, Terry stayed with his brother, protecting him in the middle of a near-empty desert.

Eventually, Loco returned with a local healer in tow. The healer employed some arcane healing practice, consisting of the bones of a sacrificed chicken. While this ritual leeched the poison out of Meech, Terry remained horrified at the events. As a Christian, he insisted that the healer’s magical practice was blasphemous and an open defiance of his Christian God. Inversely, Meech was thankful and appreciative of the ritual, straying from his family’s strict religious roots. This seems to be the most prominent occurrence that caused the rift between the two brothers. Yet, every secret of their Mexico trip has yet to come out in the open. When they do, they’re bound to bring a world of trouble with them.
