Robert Harold Lee, lovingly known as Bob, was a 43-year-old tech entrepreneur who unfortunately passed away on April 4, 2023, when he was brutally stabbed in San Francisco, California. His untimely demise left his friends and family members completely devastated. The case comes into focus in NBC’s ‘Dateline: Under the Bay Bridge,’ which weaves together the investigative findings that revealed that a man named Nima Momeni was responsible for his death. The episode also includes emotional interviews with Bob’s father, Rick Lee; his brother, Timothy Oliver Lee, AKA Tim; Bob’s ex-wife, Krista Lee; and his children, Dagny and Scout Lee.
Rick Lee is Navigating the Loss of Bob and Nan While Holding Onto Their Memories
Rick and Nanette Renee Heitz Lee, also known as Nan, were overjoyed as they welcomed their two sons, Robert Harold Lee (affectionately known as Bob) and Timothy Oliver Lee, AKA Tim, into their lives. As a family, Rick and Nan always ensured they supported their children and cheered them on at every milestone in their lives. Nan carved out a unique path for herself as a Reporter at a newspaper, where she honed her skills and eventually became Editor. As her children got married, her life lit up with joy when she welcomed her grandkids into the world. Together, Nan enjoyed having meals with her family and celebrating festivals like Christmas with them. Unfortunately, Rick and his family were completely devastated when Nan unexpectedly passed away on April 23, 2019, at the age of 66.
Before facing the loss of his beloved wife and his son, Bob, Rick was also focused on his career. He completed his initial education at Jackson Senior High School before eventually starting his professional journey. He worked diligently at the food and beverage company AB InBev and eventually moved on from his role there. As of writing, it appears that Rick has stepped back from his professional life. Whenever he gets free time, he enjoys visiting the golf course. Additionally, he loves exploring not just the corners of his country but also visiting other beautiful destinations around the world. It became more highlighted when Rick traveled to Barcelona, Spain, in November 2025.
There, Rick enjoyed the city’s beautiful streets and delicious food, followed by his trip to the Avenue of the Giants in Northern California in December 2025. Reports state that after losing Bob forever, Rick moved to California to be closer to his grandkids. In his personal life, he also maintains an incredible bond with his son, Tim. Together, the father and son often play golf and love dining at different restaurants. Yet, amid everything, Rick often expresses his grief at losing his wife and son. In March 2026, he visited them and penned down his grief, writing, “We went to Mount Hope today to visit Nan and Bob Lee. Nothing I can say will properly express how much I miss them. It doesn’t get any better with time.” From time to time, Rick also misses the time he spent with his father and grandfather, Monty Monroe Lee.
Tim Lee Honors His Brother’s Legacy While Thriving in Career and Family Life
Timothy Oliver Lee, also known as Tim, had always been close to his brother, Bob. He frequently reminisces about the good times they spent playing together. While speaking about his brother, Tim said, “Bob was a really focused individual.” He also added, “I’m gonna miss my brother dearly, and I just… we will get through it.” Before the profound loss that rocked his life, Tim had always been focused on building a unique professional trajectory. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002, before stepping into his first role as a PM Restaurant Manager at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in April 2008. Tim left the position in February 2010 and joined as a General Manager MKT at Four Seasons San Francisco, working there until April 2014.
From December 2013 to February 2017, Tim served as Treasurer at the California Music and Culture Association (CMAC). Simultaneously, he worked as the Vice President of the Business Development Department at Omnivore from April 2014 to February 2017. Three months later, Tim became the Director of Business Development at Postmates. He left the organization in December 2018 before joining PAR Technology as Senior Director of Business Development. Tim’s skills and dedication eventually helped him rise through the ranks to become Vice President of Business Development, before leaving in June 2023. Since then, he has been working at Tote as an Advisor and Head of Business Development. In April 2024, Tim began exploring his entrepreneurial side and founded Olee Advisory.
Two months later, Tim joined unPLUG Dining as an Investor and Advisor, then rose through the ranks to become the Strategic Advisor/Vice President of Growth. He has also been working at ClearCOGS as the Head of Marketplace and Partnerships since June 2025. In his personal life, Tim has found love in his soulmate, Amy Lee, and the pair tied the knot in the presence of their loved ones in October 2011. Over the next few years, they welcomed their two daughters, including Audrey. Tim never misses an opportunity to express his love for his family and often takes them out on weekends. Together, they enjoy celebrating the festivities and their birthdays. Despite the fast pace of life, Tim still holds the dearest memories of his mother and his brother close to his heart.
Krista Lee Continues to Fight For Justice With Dagny and Scout Lee by Her Side
Krista Lee was completely heartbroken when she got the call from San Francisco General Hospital that her ex-husband, Bob, had passed away. She actively spoke on behalf of the family during the difficult time and diligently remained present in court every day of the trial. According to Krista, she had received an anonymous message on her mobile phone asking her to check a specific CCTV footage during the investigation, which she suspected was from Nima’s brother, Khazar Momeni. After Nima was found guilty of second-degree murder on December 17, 2024, Krista spoke during an interview and stated, “If it wasn’t for Khazar’s manipulation, drug abuse, and promiscuity, this wouldn’t have happened.”
While speaking about Nima’s family, Krista said, “The blood is on their hands. The mother, the sister, the brother-in-law. Our fight is not over yet.” She continued, “That means there will be a civil trial, that means we’ll come after his mother, his sister, and the brother-in-law. They are all absolutely guilty.” Ultimately, on March 28, 2025, Bob’s family, including Krista, Tim, and Bob’s children, Dagny and Scout (with Krista representing as their guardian), filed a civil wrongful death lawsuit against Nima, Khazar, and some additional defendants. However, as of writing, the lawsuit remains active, and there are no public reports that provide further information.

After the ordeal, Krista continues to advocate for Bob and their two daughters, seeking justice. However, she has chosen to keep further details of her personal life private. Similarly, Dagny and Scout have also stepped away from the spotlight. However, they shared on the show about the good times they spent with Bob while speaking with him about their daily lives. Dagny and Scout also revealed that every experience with their father was about learning something new, and they loved watching movies with him. After they lost their dad, it left a gaping hole in their hearts that can never be filled. All Krista, Dagny, and Scout can do is move toward the path of healing while keeping Bob’s memories alive in their hearts.
