Despite Distance and Doubts, Brandon and Julia Found Their Way Back to Love
While Brandon Gibbs hails from a family farm in Virginia, Julia Trubkina is originally from Russia. Their story began when she coincidentally appeared dancing in the background of a video chat with his best friend, which left him impressed. They soon spent months in long-distance communication. After only five months, Brandon invited her to join him on a romantic trip to Iceland, where he finally proposed to her. Julia then moved to Virginia under the K-1 visa, and their journey eventually came into focus for the first time on the show. Brandon and Julia Are Happily Married and Are Ready to Embrace Parenthood
Following their wedding, Brandon and Julia embarked on a new chapter as husband and wife. By November 2022, they had excitedly shared their purchase of their first home in Virginia Beach, Virginia, away from the farm. During their therapy sessions on the show, Julia had bravely revealed that a doctor in Russia had told her she had fertility issues. After hearing that, Brandon encouraged her to seek a second medical opinion. In January 2025, another confession shook their relationship when Julia admitted to having kissed her ex when he visited her family in her home country. Yet, instead of falling apart, they chose to face the truth and rebuild their trust. The duo eventually filled their home with love, surrounded by their furry pups, Simba and Nalla. Unfortunately, Simba passed away in May, leaving her and Brandon completely heartbroken.
However, Julia and Brandon found joy once again as they announced in August that they were expecting their first child. They are now busy preparing for their baby’s arrival and often share cute moments on their social media, such as arranging the stroller or even decorating the crib together. In August, Julia’s parents visited them in Virginia, where both families spent some quality time together, deepening their bond. She also seems to have grown close to her in-laws, Betty and Ron — something further highlighted by the fact that they often celebrate each other’s birthdays. In fact, Simba was a gift from Brandon’s mother. The pair never misses a chance to express their love for one another and often go on romantic dates together.
