While some view it as a tempting bribe, for others it serves as a crucial lifeline. In season 2, just before the final challenge, Brett Stewart found himself facing a similar dilemma. He was forced to make a pivotal decision between continuing to compete for the $5.1 million grand prize or taking what he could secure and stepping away from the competition. He made a smart choice and ensured to land in a good palace for himself.
Brett Stewart Accepted a Bribe Just Before the Finale
Brett Stewart had been a strong player from the outset. As part of Team Strong, he quickly formed meaningful friendships that helped him navigate the competition. He was chosen as a captain for the Bribery Challenge, and at that stage, he stood firm in his resolve by rejecting the lucrative offer placed before him. Accepting it would have allowed him to stay in the game, but it would also have meant his teammates losing their chance and it was something he wasn’t willing to do at the time. After JT eliminated himself in the Cube Challenge, which propelled Brett forward, he continued to push ahead without hesitation.
Later, in the round where the top 10 contestants were given a chance, one after another, to take as much money as they could, Brett chose not to stick to the earlier sense of restraint. When Player 118 Nick took $250,000 right at the start, Brett admitted it broke his trust. Deciding to act for himself, he also took $250,000, even though it meant those after him would face a smaller remaining pool. In the Trust Nobody challenge, Brett played strategically and avoided asking for votes until the final round. Aware that the odds weren’t in his favor, he timed his move carefully and secured his place in the top six. Eventually, Brett made it to the top three. Faced with the final bribe of $1 million, he chose certainty over risk. He pressed the buzzer and walked away from the season with a substantial cash prize in hand.
Brett Stewart is Continuing as an MMA Fighter Today
Brett Stewart has maintained a low profile since appearing on the season, which aligns with his naturally quiet and reserved personality. He has always been someone who prefers to stay out of the spotlight. Known as an MMA fighter, Brett is also an alumnus of the GC Trojan Nation, the student-athlete community of Garden City High School (often abbreviated as GC or Garden City). Beyond that, he has continued to keep his personal and professional life largely private.
