In Netflix’s ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning,’ the most critical elements come from those who knew the rapper-producer both personally and professionally. Among them, Capricorn Clark’s testimony stands out. Having worked closely with Combs for several years, she provided detailed accounts of incidents she alleged to have witnessed during that time. Her statements became especially significant as she later served as a key witness in the May 2025 trial, offering insight into Combs’ behavior and the environment surrounding him.
Capricorn Clark Spoke About Sean Combs’ Alleged Incident With Kid Cudi
Capricorn Clark began working for Sean Combs in April 2004 as his personal assistant, a role in which she claimed she came to know him better than most people around him. She said that in those early years, she focused solely on her work, keeping her head down to advance in her career. In 2008, she was promoted to Global Brand Director, a position that put her in charge of overseeing the entire brand. Clark alleged that she encountered various forms of aggression from the very start. She claimed that on her first day, Combs questioned her about whether she knew Marion “Suge” Knight Jr. and allegedly threatened her life if she ever crossed him.
She said she kept the incident to herself, believing that silence would earn her respect and allow her to move forward professionally. She also described an alleged incident from 2011 in which, according to her, Combs showed up at her home with a gun and demanded information about Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi. Clark claimed he told her he intended to kill Kid Cudi because he believed the musician was involved with Cassie Ventura. She also alleged that she saw him assaulting Cassie at the time. These were the allegations she presented during her testimony in the May 2025 trial.

According to Capricorn Clark, she was removed from her role as Global Brand Director in 2012. She later sued Sean Combs for wrongful termination, alleging that the company used an unauthorized vacation against her. She also claimed that her reported account of the alleged 2011 kidnapping incident played a role in what she described as a retaliatory firing. The lawsuit was privately settled later that year for an undisclosed amount, and the matter did not proceed publicly thereafter.
Clark went on to work with Cassie Ventura as her creative director from 2016 to 2018. Originally from California, she had already built a substantial résumé before joining Combs. She had worked with Def Jam, Magic Johnson Enterprises, and BET Films before moving to New York in 2000. She later joined DiMassimo Brand Advertising, Crunch Fitness, and Hotwire. In 2001, she became a television production manager at Crossroads, where she managed projects for HBO, ABC, NBC, GSN, and USA. After that period, she began her long stretch working under Combs. Despite her strong professional background, little publicly verifiable information is available about her career after 2018.
During her May 2025 testimony, Clark reportedly became emotional and apologized to the presiding judge. Combs’ defense argued that she had remained in contact with him over the years and even returned to work for someone close to him, attempting to question the legitimacy of her claims. She, however, stayed firm in her account and alleged that she had been blacklisted from the industry, which she attributed to the rapper. Clark now keeps a low profile and is believed to still reside in California. She has said that the experiences she described were extremely challenging and that she has lived in fear since speaking out during the 2025 trial.
