In Season 2, Colby Sparkman entered the game with that same gusto, approaching each challenge with assurance and drive. Colby Sparkman entered the competition with a strong foundation as a former athlete, giving him a clear physical advantage from the start. As a member of Team Strong, his first test involved pulling himself upward while securing weighted blocks equal to roughly one-third of his body weight. Although the task appeared straightforward, it soon proved to be demanding. After several attempts, Colby pushed through and became one of the 50 team members to complete the challenge successfully. In the second challenge, Colby was selected by Player 191, Cory Sims, to join the team tasked with building a nearly 50-foot structure to reach a flag. Colby gave the challenge everything he had, working through exhaustion to keep the structure stable.
His effort did not go unnoticed, as MrBeast himself remarked on Colby’s determination, pointing out how visibly tired he was while still refusing to quit. At one point, when Colby began to fatigue, his teammates asked him to switch positions. Just as Player 117, Mitch, was about to step in, Colby lost his balance, causing roughly 30 percent of the structure to collapse. Despite the setback, the team regrouped quickly and ultimately succeeded in securing the flag. The following round brought the obstacle course challenge, where Colby found himself facing Cory’s team, and his former ally had turned into his direct competitor. The teams were allowed to choose a captain to represent them in the decisive run, and Colby accepted the responsibility. Although he fought hard, he was unable to secure the win, and his team was eliminated from the competition.

Colby Sparkman’s path has been shaped by a lifelong connection to sports, discipline, and hands-on work. From a young age, he gravitated toward athletics, starting with soccer. While attending Palm Harbor University High School in Palm Harbor, Florida, he became a key member of the school’s soccer team, earning multiple accolades and developing a strong competitive foundation. As his interests evolved, Colby discovered wrestling, a sport in which he truly thrived. He went on to compete at district and state levels, and for a time, he envisioned a future built around the sport.
However, Colby made decisions that reshaped his trajectory. In 2019, he stepped away from soccer, and in 2020, he announced his retirement from competitive wrestling. These choices marked a shift in focus toward education and long-term career stability. He enrolled at the University of Central Florida, where he studied Business Administration and Management, ultimately graduating in 2025. Professionally, Colby has built a strong working background alongside his studies. Since 2021, he has worked full-time at The Cheesecake Factory in Winter Park, Florida.
He is trained across nearly every front-of-house role, including server, busser, baker, host, cashier, food runner, and to-go expo. In parallel, he has worked with BouYah Watersports in Clearwater, Florida, operating and maintaining jet skis while serving as a safety guide, blending responsibility with his love for active, outdoor environments. He has also continued working as a delivery driver with Carrabba’s Italian Grill since 2020. Today, Colby balances a strong work ethic with the athletic mindset that has defined much of his life. While competitive sports are no longer his primary focus, the drive he developed through athletics continues to influence his professional journey and future ambitions.
