Very few romances capture the viewers’ hearts on reality TV, but Colt Johnson and Cortney Reardanz surely did so on season 1 of TLC’s ’90 Day: Hunt for Love.’ Their first meeting was at the masquerade ball, setting the stage for a connection neither of them expected. During the season’s ’90 Day: Hunt for Love Tell All,’ several cracks were revealed about Colt and Cortney’s bond. She disclosed that he had spoken to many women and said he was “planning to meet up with them.” One admirer reportedly had even sent him flowers. Moreover, she opened up that his previous partners suggested he was using her for convenience, like a place to stay or even health insurance. Those cast doubts on their relationship, especially because Cortney explained, “You know, it’s like, we just left the retreat. We weren’t saying ‘I love you’ when he came to my house.” Hence, trust became a significant challenge when they began expressing their love. Despite everything, Colt revealed on the ‘Tell All,’ stating, “I moved in with Cortney and her parents in Orlando, and I’ve been staying there now, and it’s—it’s definitely different.”
It indicates that Colt and Cortney’s bond has grown deeper than many assumed initially. Beyond the show, little gestures continue to reassure the fans about their connection. They still follow each other on Instagram, and she often leaves playful and supportive comments on his posts. In July, when Colt shared about his broken leg, Cortney wrote, “Glad you’re okay.” A month later, she teasingly commented on one of his show’s posts, joking, “You look like you’re about to stir up some drama… lol.” In one of his updates, he posted a picture of himself and Cortney along with other castmates and mentioned, “Maybe the real Hunt for Love was the friends we made along the way.” However, the other small gestures suggest they may be navigating their bond outside reality TV.
