The journey of Crowned Skin founder Darrell Spencer is shaped by ambition, discipline, and a quiet determination to build something meaningful from the ground up. In the early years, he aspired to become an actor, which led him to model as a preteen. He attended the Chicago Bulls College Prep, where he actively participated in several sports and extracurricular activities. Darrell eventually completed higher education by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College. In June 2015, he began his career as a Business Operations Analyst Intern at Exelon, a role he held until June 2017. That was followed by Darrell’s brief stint at Buehler, an ITW Company, as a Global Strategy and Operations Intern until August 2017.

In 2018, Darrell stepped into the role of Client Consulting Analyst in Investments at Willis Towers Watson. Before leaving the position in February 2020, he joined Meta as a part of the Global Business Group in Strategic Partnerships and Key Accounts in December 2019. Simultaneously, Darrell excelled as a Manager of Enterprise Client Solutions at VidMob from 2021 to 2022. He left Meta in January 2022 and joined Google three months later as a Partnerships professional for Enterprise – Large Customer Sales. He continued to work in the position until January 2024. Amid the impressive corporate trajectory, Darrell tapped into his entrepreneurial spirit. He became the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kings Crowning in January 2020, and worked on the venture until November 2024.

After realizing the gap, he began working on the idea, which led him to transition from Kings Crowning to building the brand, Crowned Skin, in April 2024.
