Among the couples of this season whose heart-to-heart exchanges captured the attention of the audience were Cynthia Kalela and Jonathan Debrose-Olivier. Cynthia and Jonathan Have Not Continued Their Relationship
As Cynthia and Jonathan stepped into the real world during the honeymoon, the former’s choice of wearing heels began causing issues. Although he accepted that it was his own problem, he voiced his concern that the other duos might mock him because of their heights. Moreover, he even asked her to change her shoes. However, Cynthia insisted that she wanted to wear the heels since they made her feel confident. That explanation didn’t bode well with Jonathan because he felt she did not care about his feelings. Their argument finally boiled over, and he consequently declared that he wanted to leave. Nevertheless, after calming down, Cynthia and Jonathan did try to make things work. Still, they continued to fight over the smallest things, ultimately parting ways on the last night of their getaway.
Jonathan felt that Cynthia had disrespected him several times, whereas she believed he was not willing to be open and understanding towards her. During the reunion, the former revealed that even though they attempted to reconcile later on after leaving the experiment, he was unable to move past the incident in Morocco. Similarly, Cynthia explained that the man she met in the pod and in real life was not the same person to her. Ultimately, they were unable to make things work in the end. From what we can tell, their social media trails also hint at the same. These include their lack of comments and tags in each other’s profiles. It was also disclosed that following their reconciliation attempt, they have maintained no contact with each other. While Cynthia is currently enjoying her single life, Jonathan disclosed during the reunion that he reconnected with one of the show’s participants, Alice, and they have been in a relationship for over nine months.
