The ardent admirers of Gethsemane Brown can rejoice! Moviedelic can confirm that the next ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries’ movie, titled ‘Death in D Minor,’ is in the works at Hallmark. Helmed by Linda-Lisa Hayter, the project will start filming on February 4 in Dublin, Ireland. Alexia Gordon wrote the screenplay based on her eponymous novel. Tamera Mowry-Housley is confirmed to reprise her beloved classical musician character.
Picking up after the events of ‘Death in G Minor,’ the plot follows Gethsemane Brown, whose plan to rest during the holidays goes down the drain. She finds out that her landlord will sell her cottage to a hotel developer, and her brother-in-law is coming for a visit the next day. While struggling to find a way to save the cottage, her brother-in-law gets falsely accused of stealing a valuable antique.
As the narrative progresses, Gethsemane strikes a deal with an investigator, agreeing to go to a charity ball undercover and gather evidence linking antiques to a forgery/theft ring in exchange for the latter clearing her brother-in-law of the crime. At the party, she inadvertently calls upon the ghost of an eighteenth-century sea captain and then becomes the prime suspect in the host’s murder. With help from the captain’s ghost, she then races to untangle the mystery behind the stolen antiques with the hope of exonerating her brother-in-law and herself.
Linda-Lisa Hayter previously directed ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major,’ the first installment in Hallmark’s ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries’ franchise. The film follows Gethsemane Brown helping the ghost of the man roaming her house get peace by solving his murder case. The film stars Mowry-Housley, Risteard Cooper, and Marco Grazzini. Hayter also has other Hallmark movies to her directorial credits, the most recent ones being the rom-coms ‘His & Hers’ and ‘Betty’s Bad Luck in Love,’ and the mystery dramas ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters’ and ‘Unexpected Grace.’
Besides ‘Murder in G Major,’ Tamera Mowry-Housley has delivered significant performances in many Hallmark dramas. Her recent roles include Angela in Jason Bourque’s ‘Scouting for Christmas,’ Danielle in Jessica Harmon’s musical drama ‘Dream Moms,’ Shelby in Paul Ziller’s rom-com ‘Inventing the Christmas Prince,’ and Samara in Keshia Knight Pulliam’s ‘Girlfriendship.’
