Seo In-guk and Park So-dam Begin Filming Death’s Game

The filming of the upcoming K-Drama series ‘Death’s Game’ has begun in Chuncheon, South Korea. The series is based on the eponymous webtoon written by Lee Won-sik and illustrated by Ggulchan. The show follows Choi Yi-jae, who decides to end his life after going through a series of misfortunes. However, Death instead decides to punish him by making him face life and death over and over again 12 more times.

The production is currently going on in Chuncheon, where actors Lee Do-hyun, Kim Mi-kyung, and Oh Jung-se have been spotted filming some sequences. The city, which is the capital of the Gangwon Province of South Korea, has previously hosted the filming of ‘The World of the Married,’ ‘Psychokinesis,’ and ‘SUGA: Road to D-DAY.’ As per reports, the shoot of the show also takes place in Seoul as well. Earlier, films and shows like ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ ‘Sense8,’ ‘Train to Busan,’ ‘Parasite’ ‘Crash Landing on You,’ and ‘Star Trek Beyond’ were also filmed in the city.

‘Death’s Game’ is directed and produced by Ha Byung-hoon, who is known for directing ‘The Sound of Your Heart,’ ‘Go Back Couple,’ and ‘18 Again.’ The show stars Seo In-guk (‘Café Minamdang’ and ‘Doom at Your Service’) as Choi Yi-jae, Park So-dam (‘Parasite’ and ‘Record of Youth’) as Death, and Go Yoon Jung (‘Alchemy of Souls’ and ‘Hunt’) as Jung Ji-soo. Lee Jae-wook (‘Extraordinary You’ and ‘Memories of the Alhambra’), Choi Si-won (‘She Was Pretty’ and ‘My Fellow Citizens’), and Sung Hoon (‘My Secret Romance’ and ‘Five Children’) feature as Choi Yi-jae’s reincarnations.

The rest of the cast includes Kim Jae-wook (‘Coffee Prince’ and ‘Temperature of Love’), Jang Seung-jo (‘The Good Detective’ and ‘Romantic Debtors’), Kim Ji-hoon (‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’ and ‘Flower Of Evil’), Kim Kang-hoon (‘Racket Boys’ and ‘Dr. Park’s Clinic’), Lee Do-hyun (‘The Good Bad Mother’ and ‘Youth of May’), and Oh Jung-se (‘Hot Stove League’ and ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’).

The fantasy drama is set to premiere on TVING in December 2023, however, the date has not been announced yet. The South Korean streaming service launched a small teaser of the series introducing the cast earlier in August. You can check out the teaser here.
