Deli Boys Season 3 Cast and Plot Theories

Deli Boys’ season 2 raises the stakes for the Dar family while also bringing them to a whole new level. Early into the season, brothers Raj and Mir, under the capable supervision of their Aunt Lucky, cross paths with mayoral candidate Andrew Chadwater and casino owner Max Sugar. Initially, the two neatly fit into the categories of foe and friend, respectively, that is, until a twist ending changes everything. Yet, despite the backstabbing and the rapid pace at which power changes hands, the Dar family emerges on top.

In the end, they become owners of Sugar’s casino, which allows them to keep money laundering an in-house affair. Additionally, they now have the added advantage of having the city’s mayor in their pocket. All in all, things are beginning to look up for the trio. That is, a mysterious and dangerous box arrives for them. Even though the show hasn’t been renewed yet at the time of writing, the season 2 finale clearly sets things up for a future season 3. Thus, if it’s greenlit soon enough, fans can expect to see ‘Deli Boys’ season 3 on their screens in 2027.

Deli Boys Season 3 Will Reveal the Identity of the Secret Dar Child

Season 2 of ‘Deli Boys’ ends on an intriguing note, promising a new addition to the Dar family. After Mir, Raj, and Lucky manage to establish themselves as kingpins in their industry, they receive a cryptic gift from an anonymous sender. This comes with a note that talks about how the two brothers can expect to see the eldest Dar sibling in the future. While this only perplexes Raj and Mir, it catches the attention of their Aunt. Lucky’s terror-stricken realization is followed by Matthew’s collapse as a result of consuming the goodies that came with the note. This entire cliffhanger climax clearly lays out the path for the potential future season(s).

From the looks of it, it seems Mir isn’t actually the eldest kid in the Dar family. Instead, Baba likely had another child, who was erased from the family history for reasons yet unknown. Still, it’s clear that Lucky, who had been by Baba’s side from an early age, is familiar with and even concerned about this mysterious Dar sibling. Furthermore, the poisoned gift and the general hostility in the note suggest that this newcomer likely won’t have any love lost even for their brothers. In fact, their arrival will likely be accompanied by a turf/inheritance war. Although no clear details are yet known about this mysterious character, fans can expect them to become a major addition in a potential season 3.

Deli Boys Season 3 Can be Expected to Have New and Exciting Cameos

‘Deli Boys’ retains a central narrative that revolves around the Dar family and their cocaine empire, which thrives under the cover of a chain of deli businesses. Yet, the narrative leaves plenty of opportunities open for one-off characters to make an appearance and have an impact on the lives of the protagonists. This opens up the opportunities for the show to include a parade of cameos in each season. Even though season 3 hasn’t yet been renewed, the cast has already shared their dream co-stars for the series. Among the names that came up were Riz Ahmed, Ben Kingsley, Shah Rukh Khan, Imran Khan, Mariska Hargitay, and Bradley Cooper.

It’s important to note that these actors were simply dream collaborators for the central cast. Yet, even if none of these names make it to season 3, fans can expect other familiar faces from the industry to momentarily join the cast of ‘Deli Boys’ for future cameos. Alternatively, the actors whose return is more or less confirmed include Asif Ali (Mir), Saagar Shaikh (Raj), Poorna Jagannathan (Lucky), Amita Rao (Nandika), and Andrew Rannells (Chadwater). Iqbal Theba can also be expected to reprise his role as Baba, considering he has made an appearance in each season so far. However, his inclusion would likely be through flashback or hallucinations.

Deli Boys Season 3 Will Likely Threaten the Dars’ Position at the Top of the Mountain

At the end of season 2, the Dar family empire finds itself in an unprecedented position of power. So far, they have been feuding with rival gangs, law enforcement, or other big fish like Max Sugar. However, they have recently secured a safe and elevated future for themselves. First, their acquisition of Sugar’s casino allows them to expand their business while also dabbling in new areas of criminality. On the other hand, Mir’s successful attempts at buying a Golf Club to fulfill Baba’s aspirations buy them an exclusive seat at the city’s elite table. Lastly, they have the city’s mayor, Andrew Chadwater, on their payroll, exempting them from a majority of future trouble.

Therefore, it’s hard to imagine the family will return to petty turf wars or deal with problems like money laundering issues. However, with new success also comes the possibility of ruin. Simply put, at this point in their journey, the Dars have a lot to lose. Therefore, while we can expect their criminal escapades to take on a more elevated route, the characters will also grow more desperate to hold on to their riches. This means greater risks, more reckless plays, and most importantly, plenty of scope for chaos.
