Denise Antoon: Where is the Ex-PI Mom Now?

As a documentary living up to its title in every way conceivable, Netflix’s ‘Trainwreck: P.I. Moms’ revisits the case of when a reality show was canceled before it even really began. It follows a group of individuals as they recall the events of the late 2000s/early 2010s that left them shattered because their chance of becoming a star and hopefully inspiring others through their work came to an end. Amongst those to feature in this original was Denise Antoon, who was a true private investigator whose sole aim was to help others and inadvertently encourage young girls to pursue their dreams, no matter what they are.

Denise Antoon Has Always Been a Career Woman

Although not much about Denise Antoon’s early years or background is available as of writing, we do know she developed an interest in media law at a relatively early age. Therefore, it wasn’t long after she had graduated from high school that she enrolled at Temple University for a Bachelor’s in Communication and Media Studies, which she actually earned from the University of North Carolina Wilmington after transferring. Denise then enrolled at the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law for her Juris Doctorate, which she seemingly earned in 1999 before kickstarting her career in the industry.

From what we can tell, Denise had already tied the knot with the love of her life, settled, and started building a family, but she still wasn’t entirely fulfilled, as she knew she could do more. Therefore, after a few years of hard work in various industries, she eventually earned her private investigator license and joined Butler & Associates in California. The company prided itself on having flexible hours since most of the private eyes they hired were women and moms, and she was utterly excited by this news. Little did she know she would actually get the job too, enabling her to be both a working woman and a family woman.

Denise Antoon Had Reservations About Being on P.I. Moms

When ‘P.I. Moms’ was being promoted as a possible reality television show idea by the company’s owner-operator, and when it was greenlit by Lifetime in 2010, Denise had her reservations. She genuinely worried about being involved in a show that would be like the next ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ or ‘Real Housewives’ since she did not want drama in her life, and she was promised it wouldn’t be. In fact, it actually wasn’t since the showrunner had decided to follow the real moms as they navigate their personal and professional experiences with utmost authenticity. Each episode was to follow one case as the women opened up.

Denise actually had such a great personality and open character that she was one of the main cast members of the show, especially as she was also a great private investigator. However, as time passed, things started becoming a little weird. Cases started being sabotaged, and police started being involved, just for it to turn out that a co-worker allegedly tried to mess up filming. However, in their efforts to do so, they had also exposed the company owner as a criminal who owned a brothel, distributed drugs, and used illegal wiretaps on others, resulting in Lifetime eventually pulling the plug on the show, devastating her since she was getting used to it.

Denise Antoon Moved Away from California Not Long After the Scandal

From what we can tell, it was sometime in 2011 when Denise Antoon and her family relocated from California to Austin, Texas, for good, where she re-established a career for herself. The Capella University graduate with a Master’s in Human Services and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition graduate with a certification in Health and Wellness truly rebuilt her image. From what we can tell, her mission has always been to help others to the best of her abilities, which is why she served as the

It was then that Denise established her own business, Antoon Group, where she offers people a myriad of services ranging from customer service to fundraising and from contract analysis to strategy building to marketing planning. Then, in 2017, she spread her wings and became an Adjunct Professor for several undergraduate and graduate schools before getting involved with The Human Experience Group. She has been serving at this latter organization since February 2014, and she currently holds the esteemed title of Chief Experience Officer, which she is really proud to maintain.

However, it is imperative to note that Denise is also a family woman, so whenever she is not working or devoting herself to helping others, she is spending quality time with loved ones. Her partner, as well as her three sons – Ryan, Archie, and Aiden – appear to be her pride and joy. Whether it be attending concerts, having game nights, or supporting her kids as they go through life, she unwaveringly does it all. Unfortunately, though, it appears as if Denise is currently also battling cancer. We honestly wish her nothing but the best for her future.
