Lifetime’s ‘A Very Merry Beauty Salon’ chronicles the journeys of Sienna, the owner of “Divine Beauty” salon, and Lawrence, the owner of “Uzuri” wines. Running her business in Atlanta, Sienna awaits the Tinsel Ball, where she will be awarded for her contribution to charity. She runs the salon with her friends Ella and Kimmy, who support her in the aftermath of her divorce a few years ago. Sienna crosses paths with Lawrence due to his role as the co-sponsor of the Tinsel Ball. What begins as a chance encounter soon turns into a tale of bonding, as Sienna and Lawrence develop romantic feelings for each other.
However, when their insecurities threaten to keep them apart, they have to fight against their own feelings to find true love before it is too late. The chemistry, banter, and complexities of the relationship between the two main characters are at the heart of the narrative. The fate of their romance is the central mystery of the film, which could be the difference between loneliness and companionship. SPOILERS AHEAD.
Sienna and Lawrence Decide to Give Love a Chance
When Sienna goes to the wine store to surprise Lawrence, she overhears him talking to his father, and saying that “Sienna won’t be a problem.” Lawrence tells his dad that he can leave Atlanta and return to Napa Valley if need be. Sienna demands an explanation from him for his words, especially due to her feelings for him. He says he, too, has feelings for her, but is worried about his business as well. His father threatens to replace him with his brother if the wine sales don’t pick up. Sienna storms off after the argument, leaving Lawrence worried. He then has a conversation with Georgia, Sienna’s mother, who tells him to fix the problem. Christmas Day finally arrives, and Sienna ignores Lawrence’s calls. The friends and Georgia worry about Sienna being alone at the Ball in the evening.
Georgia tells her to enjoy the evening, despite Sienna’s melancholy. Georgia also tells her daughter to give love a chance and not expect perfection. At the Ball, Lawrence gives a heartfelt speech about co-sponsoring the event. Sienna then has a conversation with Lawrence, as they talk about their misunderstandings. Sienna apologizes for their rude conversation earlier in the narrative, suggesting they take time to figure things out. However, Lawrence surprises her during the dance and becomes her partner. The two share a passionate dance, during which they realize that they have a greater connection than they assumed earlier. They go to a secluded spot to continue their conversation. Lawrence tells her he wants to be more than just friends with her.
Sienna talks about the insecurities of her past and says that it was unfair for her to doubt Lawrence. The two of them simultaneously say that they like each other, after which they share a passionate kiss and a dance. During her honoree acceptance speech, Sienna credits Lawrence for some of her success and recognizes his role as co-sponsor and for reminding her about the true purpose of charity. Sienna also decides to launch her own hair care business, which Lawrence fully supports. The two of them dance through the night, indicating that they will build a relationship. In conclusion, Sienna and Lawrence decide to give love a chance, despite the misunderstandings and the insecurities they face along the way.
