Snacking plays an important role in maintaining energy levels and keeping hunger in check throughout the day. However, many people remain cautious about it, often associating snacks with high calorie counts and unhealthy ingredients that can quickly add up. In season 17, episode 18 of ABC’s ‘Shark Tank,’ this was discussed when Don’t Worry was introduced. The brand offers low-calorie, gluten-free meringue cookies designed as a guilt-free snacking option. Light, airy, and flavorful, these treats provide a healthier way to indulge and make mindful snacking enjoyable.
Don’t Worry: Who Are They and What Do They Do?
Don’t Worry was founded by brothers Santiago Arroyo Calero and Diego Arroyo Calero. Santiago began his career after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2004, along with additional studies in marketing at Carleton University in 2002. He went on to work as a Product Manager for Lancôme at L’Oréal from 2004 to 2005, before co-founding Comunicación Universitaria S.A. de C.V., where he served as Commercial Director from 2005 to 2008. In August 2009, he co-founded Don’t Worry and has led it as CEO ever since, while also being part of Endeavor as an entrepreneur since 2015.

Diego shares a nearly identical professional trajectory and educational background, having graduated summa cum laude from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México between 1999 and 2004 and studied at Carleton University in 2002. He also worked at L’Oréal as a Product Manager for Lancôme from 2004 to 2005, followed by his role at Comunicación Universitaria S.A. de C.V. from 2005 to 2008. This was where the two of them started building something of their own. They co-founded Don’t Worry in 2009 and continue to lead the company alongside each other. Diego has also been recognized as an Endeavor entrepreneur since 2015.
The idea for Don’t Worry began to take shape around 2009, when the brothers started experimenting with recipes to address the growing obesity problem. Determined to create a snack that was both enjoyable and genuinely healthy, they tested more than 600 variations before arriving at their breakthrough product: meringue cookies. These cookies are designed to be extremely light, with just one calorie per piece, while also being gluten-free, fat-free, low in sugar, and low in carbohydrates, making them suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences, including keto-friendly lifestyles.
