Dorian Wilkerson: Where is the Alleged Fraudster Now?

Netflix’s ‘Love Con Revenge’ highlights the stories of people who claim to have been victims of romance fraud and are seeking justice against their alleged perpetrators. Among those who reached out to Cecilie Fjellhøy for support was Shareza Jackson. She claimed that her then-husband of five years, Dorian Wilkerson, had misrepresented his academic qualifications and allegedly deceived her into financing and investing in his business ventures. According to Shareza, she was ultimately left burdened with a large debt. She later confronted him, demanded answers, and shared her account of what had taken place.

Dorian Wilkerson Faced Allegations of Fraud and Deception From His Ex-Wife

Dorian Wilkerson completed high school in Florida, where he first met Shareza Jackson. Although they lost touch afterward, the following years proved difficult for Wilkerson. In 2001, he faced felony charges in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for theft and extortion involving more than $75,000. He pled guilty and was convicted on September 6, 2002, ultimately receiving probation. His legal troubles continued and by February 2007, he was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia, on a charge of simple battery and released on a $5,000 bail. Just two years later, in February 2009, he was again arrested in Fulton County, this time for simple battery involving family violence, and was released on a $10,000 bail. According to her account, Wilkerson allegedly did not disclose this history when he reconnected with Shareza in 2014.

Shareza claimed that Dorian told her he was a medical doctor working at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and it deeply impressed her. Their relationship blossomed, and on November 27, 2016, they tied the knot in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. By then, Wilkerson had relocated to Florida and launched Best U Now, a cosmetic center. However, the venture quickly ran into trouble. In 2017, the Florida Department of Health issued him a cease-and-desist letter, stating there was probable cause to believe he was practicing medicine without a license. According to Shareza, she had no knowledge of this at the time and alleged she had invested more than $140,000 into the business.

Shareza alleged that her suspicions grew when she noticed unusual activity on her credit cards and began to believe Dorian was behind it. When she confronted him, she said he offered no real explanation. That’s when she also found out about his prior charges. According to her, his behavior became increasingly distant, and by March 2023, she decided to file for divorce. The business had already been shut down in December 2022. That same year, she also filed a civil lawsuit against him for check fraud, while he countersued for defamation. In her court filings, Shareza alleged that Dorian engaged in a recurring pattern of deceiving women and leaving once he could no longer gain from them. She further alleged that, since their separation, she had been left burdened with nearly $2 million in debt.

Dorian Wilkerson Denies All Allegations and Accusations Against Him Even Today

Dorian Wilkerson has firmly denied all the allegations made against him and said that he never misrepresented himself and that his former wife’s claims were unfounded. In 2023, he not only countersued Shareza Jackson for defamation but also filed several reports against her. The civil lawsuit between them was ultimately dismissed on both sides, and the check fraud case brought against him was dropped. Wilkerson has alleged that Shareza was fully aware of the business arrangements and had taken out loans on her own, denying her accusations that he forged her signature or deceived her.

According to the most recent information, Wilkerson has been working at Georgia State University in the Mathematics Department. On his public profile, he lists an extensive academic background. He states that he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University in 1998, followed by a Master’s in Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University in 2000. He further claims to have earned another Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and later attended Emory University/Clark Atlanta University from 2003 to 2009, where he says he pursued a Ph.D. in Epidemiology.

Wilkerson has repeatedly stressed that he never claimed to be a medical doctor. Instead, he insists that when he used the title of “doctor,” it was in reference to his Ph.D. work and unrelated to medicine or medical practice. Online records also do not show him holding any medical license in the states of Florida or Georgia. Despite this, Wilkerson continues to publicly maintain that he has been transparent about his credentials and has framed the accusations against him as distortions of his professional and personal history.

Dorian Wilkerson’s Recent Whereabouts are Tough to Verify

According to available court documents from the Broward County Clerk of Courts, records suggest that Dorian Wilkerson has not been formally employed since 2022, and there is allegedly no record of him listed in the current CDC employee directories. These claims have not been independently verified. Information linked to Wilkerson’s public career history details that he has held multiple academic and research roles over the years. However, independent confirmation of all these positions has been limited. From January 2005 to September 2011, Wilkerson was noted as having worked as an adjunct instructor of mathematics at Clark Atlanta University, a role he reportedly held for over six years in Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition, between January 2009 and January 2011, he was listed as conducting research in a Post-doctoral program focused on infectious diseases at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. His professional timeline also includes an earlier stint at DeVry University, where he is said to have served as an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics and Statistics from 2004 until 2010. Other roles connected to his career history include serving as the Learning Support Director at Georgia Perimeter College from January 2005 to September 2009, and working as a Senior Statistician for the Clayton County Health Department between January 2003 and June 2005. Additionally, he is believed to be involved as a director at a company called Body Renue. However, the lack of recent confirmation makes much of this information best considered likely rather than verified.

Dorian Wilkerson Dealt With a Personal Loss in 2025

In June 2025, Dorian Wilkerson revealed that he had lost his son. He described Father’s Day as an especially difficult time as he continues to cope with the grief. This personal tragedy appears to have deepened his faith, as he often expresses religious sentiments and emphasizes the importance of resilience and healing. He reflected on the shared moments, writing, “The memories flood back—the long talks we shared and the words left unsaid. I find myself wishing I could have one more moment to tell him how much he meant to me.” He has also spoken about his passion for health and wellness, stating, “I’m passionate about helping people lose fat, not just weight, which will decrease their health risk.” Beyond this, little concrete information is available about Wilkerson’s personal life. Some reports suggest he may be involved in a new relationship, but such claims remain unverified.
