Season 1 of Netflix’s ‘Star Search’ introduces multiple talents from around the world to the audience. Likewise, episode 2 of the show featured a dance pair in the Variety Category, Duo Vespertilio, who immediately distinguished themselves from the other contestants. Comprised of acrobats and aerialists, Saifee Ghadiyali and Sierra Porreco, the pair blended gravity-defying technique with theatrical storytelling, promising viewers something far more immersive than a traditional circus routine. From the outset, the pair made it clear they wanted to create an experience by instilling fear into their performance. Their commitment to the art ultimately helped them earn a spot in the Top Four in the finals.
Duo Vespertilio Defied Gravity Week After Week Before Landing in the Top Four
From the first time Duo Vespertilio, featuring Saifee Ghadiyali and Sierra Porreco, took to the air, it was clear that they weren’t interested in playing it safe. In their debut showdown in the Variety Category, they went head-to-head against the dog trainer Macy and her pup, Tempo. During their initial performance, Duo Vespertilio suspended high above the stage, bringing to life the story of a vampire and a young woman who was desperate to be transformed. At about 30 feet in the air, their choreography unfolded like a gothic ballet of longing, fear, and restraint. Duo Vespertilio’s risk paid off as the judges and the audience awarded them a combined four stars, securing them their first victory.

In episode 4, Duo Vespertilio went up against Taiwan-born circus performer Chihhan Chao. During that time, both acts impressed the judges equally, each earning four stars from the three panelists. The final decision came down to the audience, and luckily, Duo Vespertilio advanced with 3.99 stars to their opponent’s 3.6. By episode 6, the pair had to face off against tap dancers Kenji and Jabu. Ultimately, the acrobatic pair narrowly triumphed over their competitors, earning 3.99 stars to 3.85, advancing to the semifinals. In the finale, Duo Vespertilio delivered yet another beautiful performance, which led them to attain a spot in the Top Four. Yet, despite their brilliance, the final audience vote placed them in the fourth position, ending their journey just shy of the life-changing cash prize.
Duo Vespertilio Elevates the Art Through Global Workshops and Performances
Before their appearance on reality TV, Duo Vespertilio started to build a unique trajectory of their own. The pair, Saifee Ghadiyali and Sierra Porreco, currently reside in Denver, Colorado, but the former is originally from India, while the latter hails from Japan. Together, the performers are more than just aerialists and acrobats as they have carved out a signature style for themselves, which is defined by gothic theatrical vibes and high-risk trapeze work. Saifee and Sierra usually construct elaborate narratives that revolve around their aerial performances. Each of their routines feels less like a stunt and more like a story unfolding midair.
Since the formation of Duo Vespertilio more than a decade ago, Saifee and Sierra have expanded their craft beyond the stage. With their vast experience in the entertainment industry, they now dedicate their time to providing coaching services for the dynamic duo trapeze. Additionally, they offer private training and immersive workshops for aspiring dancers. Duo Vespertilio currently maintains its namesake website, which promotes their upcoming appearances along with their past performance videos. Moreover, the site provides them with a way to connect with clients for corporate events, music festivals, and private parties.
Duo Vespertilio also utilizes social media, especially Instagram, where they have garnered a fanbase of over 2K. As of writing, their feed provides others with a glimpse into their rigorous practice routines and occasional sneak peeks into the events they participate in. In February 2024, the duo thrilled their followers with the announcement of their vampire act at the Arcane Vampire Ball. By September of the following year, they shared their duo conditioning drills, including routines such as floating yogi and partner lever hold. In October, Saifee shared that he had traveled to Montréal, Toronto, and Chicago to conduct acrobatics workshops. Furthermore, Saifee and Sierra often participate in various challenges, including the leg catch challenge.
Beyond the Success of Duo Vespertilio, Saifee and Sierra Are Balancing Their Personal Growth
While Duo Vespertilio may command attention under the spotlights, Saifee prefers to keep much of his personal life out of the public eye. Yet, we do know that he is currently expanding his presence on Instagram, where he has cultivated over 12.5K followers. On the platform, he is currently associated with AirbnbUp and occasionally promotes the website. Moreover, Saifee is connected with the Montreal Circus Castle, which likely serves as a creative performance space for him. Beyond these, he is a dedicated fitness enthusiast, consistently training to keep his body in its prime condition to meet the physical demands of his craft. In his free time, Saifee often sets out for hiking, seeking respite from his busy life in the serenity of nature. He also enjoys trying out different cuisines at multiple restaurants.
Just like Saifee, Sierra has also embraced the digital space more openly. As a content creator with over 6.9K followers on Instagram, she regularly shares glimpses of her acrobatic journey. Most recently, in November 2025, she excitedly shared details of her performance at the San Juan Circus. On her Instagram feed, Sierra also frequently collaborates with the athlete Bryan Emig, performing various acrobatic challenges together. Aside from being a proud advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, she treasures the simple joys of life, such as spending a day out in the snow with her friends. Yet, amid everything, Sierra always keeps her beloved pup at the heart of her world.
