Eiza González and Brandon Sklenar will soon head to the Bluegrass State for their next feature. The filming of ‘Iron Jane’ will take place in Kentucky starting this July. Lissette Feliciano wrote the story and will also direct.

The story follows Janie John (González), who, after a childhood shaped by neglect and invisibility, is pulled into a world that finally sees her, where pain is power and bodies are built, not born. The world of female bodybuilding offers her something she’s never had: the chance to become untouchable. Coached by a former champion (Sklenar), she undergoes an extreme transformation, pushing her body past its limits through relentless training and a growing dependence on his approval. As her physique sharpens, Janie rises fast, but her grip on reality fractures. Her identity dissolves into the version the world and her coach demand. Trapped in a system that rewards perfection and punishes weakness, Janie spirals toward a godlike ideal until she realizes true strength may lie beyond the image she has built for herself.
Eiza González has starred in several big-budget movies like ‘Baby Driver,’ ‘Alita: Battle Angel,’ ‘Hobbs & Shaw,’ ‘Godzilla vs. Kong,’ Michael Bay’s ‘Ambulance,’ and Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,’ ‘Fountain of Youth,’ and ‘In the Grey,’ which is her latest outing alongside Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal. She also starred in shows like Netflix’s ‘3 Body Problem,’ Hulu’s ‘La Máquina,’ and ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.’ We will see her reprise the role of Auggie Salazar in Season 2 of ‘3 Body Problem,’ which will air in 2026.
Brandon Sklenar rose to fame with his performance as Spencer Dutton in the ‘Yellowstone’ prequel series ‘1923.’ We also saw him alongside Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in Paul Feig’s psychological thriller movie ‘The Housemaid,’ based on the novel by Freida McFadden. Other projects he has starred in include Justin Baldoni’s romantic drama ‘It Ends with Us,’ which is based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, the mystery thriller ‘Drop,’ the crime thriller ‘Emily the Criminal,’ the biographical war movie ‘Midway,’ and the Dick Cheney biopic ‘Vice.’
Sklenar’s upcoming projects include Ramin Bahrani’s ‘Vegas: A Love Story,’ co-starring Paul Dano, Judy Greer, Maika Monroe, and Michael Shannon; and Ben Richardson’s crime drama ‘F.A.S.T.,’ which will also feature Sam Claflin, Wilson Bethel, Jason Clarke, and LaKeith Stanfield. ‘Vegas: A Love Story’ follows Dillon, a graphic designer living out of her car, who falls for Freddy, a welder and single father. When her ex Ryder returns, he threatens to unravel their romance while Freddy’s in-laws try to protect their grandson. ‘F.A.S.T.’ follows a former U.S. special forces officer who is recruited by the government’s Drug Enforcement Agency to take down drug dealers who are protected by the CIA.
