For Erica Dontell, life once felt steady and complete. She had a loving husband, Christopher Dontell, and their children made their family whole. In her testimony, she recalled that Meagan Jackson entered their lives in December 2019, after she and Gregory Rice separated and moved into a house just a short distance from theirs. Their children quickly became friends and often spent time together at each other’s homes, which naturally brought the two women into contact. In November 2020, Christopher was arrested, lost his job, and Erica discovered the full extent of his affair with Meagan and his involvement in the criminal case.
