Netflix’s ‘Rhythm + Flow France’ showcases rappers from across the country battling it out for the top spot. In its fourth season, the format took a twist as two teams, one led by SDM and the other by SCH, went head-to-head. Among the standout performers from the very start was Eve La Marka, who auditioned for SCH’s team. Her impressive talent and confidence immediately caught his attention, and when she revealed that she had already gained recognition in the music scene, it only heightened the anticipation for what she would deliver throughout the competition.
Eve La Marka Had Amassed a Huge Fandom in Costa Rica Before Joining the Show
Before stepping onto the stage for her audition, Eve La Marka admitted she was extremely nervous, not because of the performance itself, but because she would be performing in front of artists she deeply admired and respected. Eve already had experience performing live and was no stranger to the spotlight. She had previously released a hit single that gained significant popularity in Costa Rica, leading to a series of live shows and regular bookings. However, after signing with a record label, things didn’t unfold as she had hoped, and the experience left her disheartened. Taking a step back from the music scene, Eve focused on a new chapter in her life, her son, Issa.
She described motherhood as her most important “project,” one that required all her energy and dedication. Yet, her passion for music never faded. When ‘Rhythm + Flow France’ came along, Eve saw it as an opportunity to rebuild her career and prove herself once again. She said she joined the competition because she knew she had the talent and wanted the platform that could bring her artistry to a wider audience. Her audition impressed SCH immediately, earning her a spot on his team. In the second challenge, she faced Zedie from SDM’s team and emerged as the clear winner, helping SCH’s team secure victory. Even though her team later lost in the recording challenge, the judges praised Eve’s performance and assured her that her place in the competition was firmly secured.
Eve La Marka is Expanding Her Digital Portfolio Today
Eve La Marka, who is also known by her stage name Big La Marka, continues to build her career as a rapper and performer based in Paris, France. She has been fully immersed in creating and sharing new music, using her digital platforms to connect with fans and showcase her growth as an artist. She has released several singles, including “Freestyle Kendji,” “Dopamine,” “Hula Hoop,” and “Insomnie.” Her most recent track, “Piranha,” is one she takes particular pride in, calling it one of her most personal and powerful works to date. The accompanying music video, featured on her YouTube channel with nearly 30,000 subscribers, reflects her signature expressive style.
Eve works closely with her artistic director, Nam Sow, to refine her sound and visual identity. Though she often participates in professional photo shoots and shares stylish portraits across her social media, Eve clarifies that she’s not a model. These visuals are part of her creative expression as an artist and a rapper. She is active on TikTok, Spotify, Instagram, and YouTube, utilizing each platform to share her journey and connect with her audience. Living in Paris with her son Issa, Eve seems to be hitting her stride again, with her eyes set on climbing the charts once more.
