Season 1 of Fox’s ‘Extracted’ is a survival showdown wherein 12 contestants participate as survivalists in the wilderness while two of their loved ones help along the way. While the amateur survivalists fight their way towards the grand prize of $250,000 in a forested area in British Columbia, their friends/families are at the headquarters responsible for providing them with supplies, making allies, and even strategizing to ensure they win the game. However, if they believe things are getting too out of hand, the teammates can also remove their competitors from the game by pressing an extraction button, which would eliminate them and result in the immediate evacuation of the contestants. From masterminds to risk-takers, each contestant brought their unique fire to the game.
Anthony Banks is a Fashion Model Making His Mark in the Industry
Anthony Banks’ journey on the show might have ended early due to him being the first to be extracted, but this was just the beginning for him. At the age of 18, he was the youngest contestant in the game. Beyond the cameras, Anthony’s life has always been rooted in sports. He began immersing himself in the game of football during his teenage years and even played for his Green Hill High School Football team in October 2022. Following this, he enrolled at Michigan State University, where he seemingly also plays football. He is expected to graduate in 2029. Simultaneously, he has also found a different calling, which has ultimately led him to the world of fashion.
Anthony signed with the Kim Dawson Agency and Soul Artist MGMT as a fashion model and quickly gained a strong presence in the modeling industry. His breakthrough came with an editorial shoot for Bonvietta, a design and fashion brand. By July 2024, he made his runway debut, followed by his Coveted professional campaign with Ralph Lauren in October. Irrespective of his busy professional life, Anthony often takes moments to show his love and gratitude towards his father and mother, Yolanda and Tony. Apart from this, he is also quite close to his grandmother, Angela McGowan, whom he considers one of the most important women in his life. Davina Christy is a Multi-talented Individual and a Family Woman at Her Core
To those who know her best, Davina has always been the “princess” because her family has always showered her with love and care. However, she did not take much time to prove her strength and resilience on the show. Davina succeeded in playing the game until the third episode and became the second contestant to be eliminated. The 41-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, is a talented cosmetologist and an exceptional hairstylist. Besides this, she is also a professional clown who wholeheartedly believes in spreading love and laughter. Whether it be in her professional or personal life, Davina prefers to maintain an optimistic outlook and effortlessly lights up any room she enters.

Ashley Dawn Metheny was one of the strongest competitors on the show, and she caught the viewers’ attention with her resilience. However, despite countless efforts, she was unable to get a fire going, which ultimately became the reason for her extraction in episode four. Since before her appearance on the show, Ashley has been a dedicated fourth-grade teacher at Brawner Elementary School in Granbury, Texas. From creating experiences for her students that are enriching in their educational adventures to being an active participant in school activities, the 38-year-old has been an inspiration to many. In March 2025, Ashley appeared in an interview on CW33 (KDAF) Dallas-Fort Worth, where she spoke about her experience on the survival game.
Additionally, Ashley is an adventure seeker who often loves to train herself on survival skills, accompanied by her now-husband, Austin. They happily tied the knot on October 5, 2024. He is one of her biggest supporters, and the duo often set out on adventures together, which was quite evident from their beautiful hike to the Enchanted Rock in March 2025. Beyond this, Ashley is a proud mother of her daughter, Lilly Tyler. She never shies away from expressing how proud she is of Lily. In April 2025, she excitedly announced that her daughter received an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a national merit scholarship convention. Rose Hyak is a Registered Dietitian and Showcases Her Prowess as an Athlete
Rose Hyak’s journey on the show was quite inspirational as she showcased her competitive side. Yet, the game took an emotional toll on her, leading to her extraction. Nevertheless, she has continued on with her life and career to the best of her abilities. Rose completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics/Dietitian in 2020 at the University of Texas at Austin. However, her professional journey began back in August 2016, when she joined Clif Bar & Company as a Brand Representative and held this position for four months. She simultaneously began working as an Assistant Class Trainer at Austin Boxing Babes in September 2016 before moving on in June 2017. Rose served as a Food Service Worker from May to June 2019 before becoming a Historical Researcher at ERIS. In January 2020, she bid goodbye to this role and started as a Clinical Dietetic Intern at Seton Medical Center.
From March to May 2020, Rose served as a Food Service Management Intern at the University of Texas at Austin, housing and dining, before finally stepping into her position as a Registered Dietitian in October 2020 at NourisheED Colorado. However, the Denver, Colorado native has not restricted herself to her role as a dietitian. Rose is also an exceptional athlete who doesn’t mind flaunting her competitive side, especially as she used to be a football player and a track runner during her college days. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and is a firm believer in the importance of their representation. Beyond this, Rose maintains a good relationship with her family and loves to travel. Whether it be hiking or unwinding in a hot spring in the company of her furry baby, she truly soaks in all the little joys of life.
Ryan Willis is a Dominant Figure in the Ironman Triathlon While Maintaining His Profession as an eBay Reseller
Ryan Willis was one of the most formidable competitors on the show and had arguably been faring better than most of his fellow survivalists. However, the cut-throat competition in the headquarters proved too hard for his family, resulting in their decision to extract him. The Conifer, Colorado, native is an eBay reseller by profession, but he also has a completely different side to him. Ryan has always been a cheerleader for his wife, Sarah Thomas, who is an exceptional swimmer who has broken several records and is a breast cancer survivor. Gradually, he became interested in seeking adventures himself and ended up participating in an Ironman triathlon. Following this, he successfully completed his first climb at Sedona in May 2024 and participated in Ironman, Arizona, on November 17.
In March 2025, Ryan ran the Antelope Canyon 50-mile across the desert and fed his thirst for adventure. He was once a person who used to smoke and drink, but he has since left that chapter behind and has embraced a new beginning. Currently, he maintains a strict workout routine and always ensures that his body is at its prime. Beyond this, Ryan’s pillar of support and one of the biggest motivations is his wife, Sarah. Just like he has always stood by her, not only during her professional endeavors but also when she was battling cancer, she stands by him. Their unwavering commitment to one another reveals how deep their connection is. Additionally, Ryan fosters a special bond with his brother, Sean.
Robyn Lancaster is a Personal Assistant and Immerses Herself in Adventures With Her Husband
At 56 years old, Robyn Dennison Lancaster was the oldest contestant on the show and proved her determination. The emotional toll of the competition, however, led to her extraction. Robyn completed her education at the College of Southern Nevada and later studied RVT at Penn Foster College. Her professional journey commenced in March 1990 when she began preparing and scheduling high school curricula with multi-aged children’s learning programs. She moved on from this position in January 2018, and ultimately, in April of the same year, she started serving as a Senior Caregiver. There, her role included taking care of all the healthcare needs of her client and preparing medications and meals. Robyn is presently the ambassador for the Beauty, cosmetic & personal care brand Klean Freak.
Ultimately, Robyn moved on from these roles and started working as a Personal Assistant in March 2025. The survivalist was also featured by Ganara, an innovative and inclusive apparel brand, in March of this year. Beyond this, she is accompanied by the love of her life and her husband, Lance, in her hiking ventures. Together, the duo succeeded in reaching the top of Mount Whitney for the third time in July 2024. In March 2025, Robyn proudly announced that she had completed the Pacific Crest Trail, a journey she and her partner had started two years ago. Besides this, she is quite close to her daughter, Faith, and her sons, never forgetting to express her pride for them at every chance.
Jakoben Thomas is Thriving in His Career as a Transporter and an Entrepreneur
Before Jakoben Thomas’ appearance on the show, he had participated in the ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ and was well known as Player 130. His journey started in January 2018 when he started pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in marketing at the University of Mississippi. After acquiring his degree in January 2022, he finally stepped into the professional world as the owner of Mudlife in August of the same year. In this venture, his role includes event planning and event management to provide people with the opportunity to have a good time. Jakoben’s venture, Mudlife, also has its own YouTube account, which showcases the events he usually holds in all of the states. Simultaneously, in September 2022, the 25-year-old started working as a transporter at TBK Transportation.
Jakoben has been working in this position since then and is excelling in his career. In January 2024, he began a role as a Sales Specialist at Motohouse Picayune, where one of his major roles was to conduct a power sports vehicle dealership. However, he moved on from this in December 2024. In February 2025, he appeared in an interview on Fox 40 News, where he shared his experience on the show. In the same month, he was also featured on ‘We Komplete Podcast’ and ‘Kirkley Elite Podcast.’ In his personal life, Jakoben is extremely close to his family and often spends memorable moments with them. Moreover, he always makes sure to shower his furry pup with his love and affection. When he is not indulging in his work, Jakoben loves to travel to exotic locations like Costa Rica and the Bahamas.
Ryan Heavner is an Exceptional Racer Beyond His Career as a Diesel Mechanic
Ryan Heavner completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Technical University of Munich in 2006 and attained another Master’s degree in Financial Management from Humboldt State University in 2017. However, he did not stop his quest for education there since, in 2019, he finally completed his graduation with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from UNC Charlotte. Long before he started dabbling his feet into higher education, Ryan had kickstarted his career. In April 2006, he started as a Team Internship Manager at Hankay Group, and after years of hard work, he was promoted to Team Manager. The 28-year-old served in this role until January 2014. In March 2017, Ryan joined as a Partnerships Specialist at American Winesecrets LLC.
In this role, Ryan has been reaching the heights by catering to different levels of domestic consumer demand and producing wine products based on needs. Above all, the Lincolnton native is also an Owner/Partner and Mechanic at Triple H. Diesel. Over the years, the survivalist has also taken up the role of a Demo Crew Ambassador for Axe and Sledge Supplements. Aside from this, Ryan is an exceptional racer and has actively participated in car races, bagging several wins over the years. When he is not busy with his professional endeavors, he always makes sure to spend quality time with his father, Roger, and mother, Candace. Ryan considers his parents to be his biggest cheerleaders, and they are the reason he keeps pushing and striving to be better every single day.
Meagan is a Fitness Mentor and Has Always Found Peace in Dancing
Meagan Delatte Murphy was one of the four contestants who succeeded in reaching the finale. However, she was eliminated after being unable to complete one of the challenges in the final round. After studying General Business/Dance at Louisiana State University in 2016, she entered her professional life. Although some of her former roles included being a Company Dancer at Of Moving Colors Productions and being a Pilates Lead at Equinox, she finally moved on to her position at 225 Magazine in December 2016. Meagan served in the role until November 2017 before completely immersing herself in her dancing career. During that time, she worked at Visceral Dance Center and Jon Lehrer Dance as a dance artist. Finally, in January 2022, she became the General Manager at StretchLab, where she worked until August 2023.
Meagan stepped into her role as a Wellness Coach and Virtual Fitness Instructor at SB Wellness Group, Inc., in June 2023 and has been embracing the position in daily aspects of her life. Shortly after, she simultaneously joined the Pelican Athletic Club (PAC) and has been thriving in this role since October. In April 2025, she appeared in an interview on ‘The Paul Kirkley Podcast.’ When she is not busy in her professional life, Meagan loves making lifelong memories with her husband, W. Foster Murphy. Her parents, Gerrad and Kim, are also among her biggest motivators, and she always grabs a chance to show her appreciation for them. Apart from this, the survivalist also maintains an amicable bond with her sister, Macy.
Woody is a Former Law Enforcement Officer and Co-Hosts a Podcast
Woody, who is 50 years old, was the second-oldest competitor on the show and had fought relentlessly until the end. However, being unable to guess the password correctly for the final challenge had cost him the win. Woody had an impressive career, which started with his higher studies at Augusta State University. In 1996, he joined law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia. His role there mainly included road patrol until 2007. Ultimately, Woody was promoted to a Narcotics Investigator at the Sheriff’s Office in 2014, where he dealt with major drug cases and made sure to keep his community safe.
After his retirement from the force in 2020, Woody moved forward as the Senior Vice President of Sales at Crypton Mobile and left this position in 2023. At present, Woody has garnered a large fan base for himself and has amassed over 34K followers on Instagram. The Grovetown native has been co-hosting the ‘ Married to My BFF’ podcast alongside the love of his life, Laura, since December 30, 2024. The duo exchanged their vows 28 years ago and have always loved to share their adventures and travel together, creating lifelong memories. Besides this, a huge part of Woody’s life revolves around his three sons and one daughter. Apart from this, he loves spending time snuggling with his cute little pup, Daisy.
Jacob Denison’s Journey is Fuelled by the Love For His Family
Jacob Denison, AKA Jake, was one of the players who stood out before the audience due to his impressive survival skills and pure determination. He was the second in line between the final two contestants for the grand prize, but ultimately, he missed his chance by a few minutes. The survivalist’s professional journey began in September 2009 as a Machine Operator at Darigold. After five years of hard work, he was finally promoted to Production Supervisor, but ended up leaving the position in March 2016. It was then that he joined as a Member Experience Officer at Mount America Credit Union in October 2019. Over the years, he rose through the ranks to become an Assistant Branch Manager and finally a Mortgage Loan Officer in August 2021.
Jake’s passionate personality about guiding his clients through the mortgage loan process has made him quite commendable in his job. When he is not busy at his office, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Kim. He often considers her one of the greatest women in his life and wholeheartedly believes that her influence has positively impacted his life. Jake loves showing affection toward his four kids and often makes efforts to make cherishable memories together. Whether it be pheasant hunting or shoveling snow together from the driveway, he always showers them with love and care at every chance he gets. Apart from this, Jake also has an incredible bond with his brothers, Justin and Austin.
Haley Lindell is Thriving in Her Career
Haley was the only competitor whose health had deteriorated the most in the show, and the medic had to alert her family eventually. However, her resilience and hard-working mindset pulled her through the predicament, and she emerged victorious by winning the grand prize of $250,000. Haley began her professional journey in March 2014 as a Server & Counter Attendant at Latitude 121 Coastal Grill as a part-time employee. Over the years, she continued her path through positions like Fundraising Executive Officer, Assistant Operations Manager, Dock Master, and many more. However, Haley slowly found herself being drawn towards more adventurous and fitness-related roles. She finally became an RYT-200 Yoga Instructor at Yoga Alliance in May 2022 and has not looked back ever since.
Simultaneously in June 2023, Haley started working as a Maine Whitewater Guide, where she demonstrated risk management, explained river features and hazards, and also provided knowledge about the river geography. Side-by-side, she also joined as a Bartender at Boatman’s Bar and Grill and has been working in this position till now. In November 2024, Haley further took up the role of a Bartender at Slopeside Steamboat. Her long list of job roles on her resume has continuously kept the fans in awe of her multiple talents.
In her personal life, Haley celebrated five years of her incredible relationship with her soulmate, Henry Egloff, in July 2024. Besides this, a big part of her heart belongs to her cute little dog, Rosie. For Haley, her cousins, Natalie and Karly, mean the world to her, which was quite evident from the way they supported her throughout her journey on the show. Beyond everything, Haley has always found peace in the silence of nature. Whether she is in a valley filled with flowers or spending her time near the blue waters, she always enjoys every experience equally. As of now, Haley continues to embark on her adventurous life, taking on any challenges that life throws her way.
