Despite a Fresh Morning, Uncertainty Brews Underneath the Surface

The episode begins with Matt Warren preparing breakfast for the ladies on his farm. He recalls the solo date he had with Alexandra the evening before and notes that he wants someone who is adventurous. He did find her sweet, but while that is not at all a problem, it did give him something to think about – he wonders if she can match his energy. Chelsi then reveals in her confessional that she is falling for Matt because he has the qualities of a husband, but she is unsure about her position. Meanwhile, on Colton Hendricks’s farm, the ladies ask Zoe about her date with him, and she giddily responds that they had a good time, admitting the farmer even brought her a necklace. Colton also reiterates her sentiments, before adding that he would change one thing about him – he should have grabbed the opportunity to kiss her. However, he is left feeling unsettled as he also likes Keeley and Bailee for their individual qualities.

In the meantime, Bailee expresses that although she had a one-on-one with Colton before, she still needs reassurance and hopes they have forged a strong bond. The focus then shifts to John Sansone’s farm, where the girls are helping him feed the chickens. After Samantha left, the farmer realized he is surrounded by some incredible ladies and now wants to explore possible connections with them all. He further remarks that while he had a spectacular date with Kaylee the night before, he is unaware if he can keep up with her emotional nature. He actually feels his time with Lily feels more natural, but also concedes that he has not been able to get to know Claire much. Hence, he finds a way to get have an open conversation with her. As they engage in playful banter, John observes that she is very witty and can easily make him laugh. He then tells Claire that, luckily, they still have a lot of time to get to know each other.

Meanwhile, on Jay Woods’s farm, Karina is happy with not only how her solo date with him went but also the fact that the ladies in the house finally seem relaxed. Julia has warmed up to T’yana because, although she felt angry with how things between them had gone, it hurt to see her cry because she was feeling so left out. Each of them thus decided to move on, and as Jay greets them, even he notices the change in their dynamic before realizing he has to make some tough decisions in the end. As they all head toward the horses to get their hands dirty, the farmer designates tasks for them. Jay states that he is not worried about Julia’s time on the farm because she had mentioned that she wants to try new things. However, she has not followed up with her words, which is evident in her actions. Although he wants her to try and enjoy the moment with him, Julia refuses to get her hands dirty.

Tensions Rise as the Farmers Decide on Whether to Follow Their Hearts or Protect Others’

A new twist arrives in the form of host Kimberley Williams-Paisley as she reveals that the mothers of the farmers have actually been assisting her from behind the scenes. Ultimately, it is revealed that to provide the farmers with every chance of finding true love, their mothers have selected a new lady who they think is the best fit for them. They can bring them back to the farm if they feel a connection with this new women after meeting them. However, if they think they no longer feel a strong connection with someone, the girl will bid goodbye to the farm. This announcement does not bode well with the women. T’yana notes that if Jay brings the girl back home, it will be unfair because she never had a solo date with him. Julia chimes in that he is unsure about what he wants, which is a deal breaker for her.

T’yana agrees to this and declares that she needs to talk with Jay to figure out if she can even be on the farm anymore. Bailee is upset, thinking about the possibility of Colton bringing another lady to the farm, and hopes he will make the right decision after careful consideration. Meanwhile, Kaylee discloses in her confessional that if John brings back someone, she will be disappointed, considering their recent date. However, John trusts his mother’s, Susan’s, opinion and feels it will be interesting to see who she has chosen for him. He wholeheartedly hopes to then trust his instincts to make the right decision in the end. As this newcomer, Juliana, finally arrives, John notes she is gorgeous. She reveals that she is a private chef and dreams of being out in the garden and cooking for him while he helps clean everything.

After sharing laughs, Juliana and John delve into deeper topics like their vision for their future and their family. As their date flows smoothly, John observes that his mother has made a good choice, and he is keeping his mind open. Meanwhile, Matt’s mother, Terri, has chosen Amanda, whom she thinks will be a good match for her son. While the farmer is on his way to meet his date, the ladies back at his farm question his ability to say no. Halleh notes that they deserve a person who can make decisions. As Matt opens up conversations, he discovers that Amanda has a shy and quiet personality. She ultimately says that she thinks he is a great individual and wants to know him more. The farmer feels that he has to keep the feelings of the ladies back at the farm in his mind, but in the end, he has to follow his heart.

Emotions Run High as Surprise Dates Lead to Tough Decisions

In Alabama, Jay subsequently leaves his farm to meet the woman his mother, Latonya, has selected. Her name is Rissa, who believes in family and faith, just like Jay. As soon as he sees her, he remarks that she is stunning. They spend some quality time together and even discuss their expectations regarding domestic life and how many kids they want in the future. Rissa feels a spark between them and feels they have known each other for a long time. Even Jay concedes that she is someone with whom he can visualize having a future, but he is conflicted since he already has some great women waiting for him. In the meantime, we learn that Colton’s mother, Trina, chose Kate as his date, who finds him very handsome and loves his sense of humor. They slowly veer into serious topics like Colton’s son and ask her opinion.

Kate expresses that she thinks it is great that he is raising his son on his own and that the right person will always value it. The farmer feels that their date went incredibly well, and he also notes that she has some commendable qualities. However, the ultimate decision is on him since he does not want to upset the ladies back at the farm. As the farmers finish their dates, the atmosphere on the farm is tense with anticipation. John makes the big decision to bring Juliana back with him despite what the situation may lead to. When he finally introduces her to the fellow women on his farm, he realizes he had wrongly anticipated a smoother welcome. He realizes he hurt Kaylee the most, which was not his intention, so he does step outside with her to have a one-on-one conversation. She gets emotional, and the farmer reassures her that he did it to give a fair chance to all the ladies.

As Kaylee tears up, John understands the situation is grave, but he is determined to own his actions because that’s what they all deserve. Lily pulls him aside to ask him to open his heart more to express his feelings. In the meantime, Colton is nervous about the girls’ reaction and creates an air of suspense as soon as he arrives at the house. He makes the ladies think he has brought someone back and ultimately breaks the tension by revealing the truth. Colton feels he has great chemistry with the girls at the farm, and he does not wish to jeopardize that. While Keeley is happy about his decision, Hope is unhappy with his nonchalant nature and wonders if they are on the same page.

Some Heartbreaks Initiate Unexpected Exits

The focus then moves to Matt’s farm, where Halleh declares that he wants the farmer to step up. If he brings back his mystery date, she will leave. Similarly, Chelsi agress that he does struggles to make decisions and feels the time is not in their favor. To their utter joy, he reveals that although his date was quite interesting, he chose not to bring her back. He divulges in his confessional that women who are already in his company are incredible, and so he decided to start being clearer with them since this journey is a critical part of all their lives. On Jay’s farm, T’yana knows that he has spoken to her personal only once, at the barn dance, when he found her upset. So, it would be a terrible choice if he brought a lady back. However, Jay seems to think otherwise since he believes he now has clarity with Rissa in the picture. After all, this is a challenging experience, but it is all about him finding his one true love and future wife.

The atmosphere is tense as Jay introduces Rissa to the girls before asking Julia to come aside for a conversation. He expresses his honest feelings about how he was initially nervous about how she would adjust to farm life, and currently, he does not see her happy here. Julia replies that he is not taking advantage of her presence at the farm, and hence, she feels disconnected. Jay finally informs her about his decision to part ways and wishes her the best. In her exit interview, Julia reveals that though he is a good man, he is just not right for her. Soon after, T’yana pulls Jay aside since she cannot figure out why he decided to bring Rissa into the picture. She spares no time to get to the point that she does not feel there is a reason for her to stay back at the farm.

Lingering Tensions Casts Uncertainty on the Future of the Remaining Connections

T’yana further adds that she has been feeling neglected, and since they do not have much time together, she does not visualize anything more from their connection. Jay states that he did not feel the chemistry was present between them, considering the drama. They both agree that even if there is any negative aspect to the connection, it can be a hurdle. Jay notes that T’yana’s decision to leave the farm was mutual, and he does not want to waste anyone’s precious time. In her exit interview, the lady notes that she would not have made the decision to leave under other circumstances. However, Jay bringing Rissa back has hurt her, and she feels the emotional toll of the experience on her.

Although Jay feels it is an unexpected situation, he states that he has made the right decision. He wants to make sure Karina and Grace are feeling good, and hence, he sits to speak with them to clarify the situation. He reassures them that throughout this experience, he has been following his instincts, and Rissa being here does not change the connection that they have formed. Karina speaks up and says that she is not happy with the situation. In her confessional, she discloses that Jay’s decision gave her the idea that he is not eager to pursue their relationship. As the tensions keep growing between the ladies and the farmers, it is now high time to see whose connection will continue to flourish until the end.
