Emotions are running high as the four hard-working farmers continue their quest for love in season 3, episode 7 of Fox’s ‘Farmer Wants a Wife.’ Titled ‘Let’s Go Camping,’ the episode picks up right where it left off on Jay Wood’s farm, where Jay is reassuring his upset ladies over his decision to bring Rissa back to the farm. The farmer tries to reassure them, but Karina seems to need space to cool off. As the conversation grows, complicated feelings and deeper connections are tested under the open stars.
The Farmers and Their Ladies Navigate Uncertainties With Honesty and Hope
Following Karina’s honest confession, Jay turns his attention towards Grace and asks her about her emotions. In his confessional, Jay remarks that reassuring Karina and Grace has been the hardest part of his night, but he emphasizes that his feelings are valid. He acknowledges that the ladies have put in an equal amount of effort, and this is how he knows their connection is real. Since Grace is more sensitive to such situations, he pulls her away to understand her emotions better. She points out that she and Karina think that they possess a great connection with Jay, but his decision has made them feel that he does not think the same.
Jay reassures her that he has no doubt about Grace and does not want her to perceive that their bond is not real. He confesses that he does have genuine feelings for both ladies and is excited to take the relationship to the next level. After John Sansone’s decision to bring Juliana back to the farm, the ladies have made peace with the situation. During breakfast, they ask her about her experience of the first night, and she states that it has been awkward since it is not an ideal situation. This prompts the ladies to express that John’s decision has made them question whether they are special to him. Kaylee feels especially disappointed following this incident, just after their solo date, and she wants to spend more time with him to discover where their relationship is headed.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley has arranged a camping trip to Texas for everyone to allow the farmers to explore their connections better and select the final solo date. The tension in the farms gradually dissipates as the farmers announce the incredible news of their camping trip. However, this news reminds Alexandra that she is missing affection and the feeling of being pursued by Matt Warren. It raises her hope of having one-on-one time on the trip, and she wants him to start making tough decisions. While the ladies arrive at the location, the farmers discuss and update each other about their progress. Colton Hendricks declares that he did not bring his mother’s choice back to the farm since he does not intend to stir any trouble. Furthermore, he mentions that he already has four incredible ladies and some impressive connections.
With the Beginning of a Camping Trip, Everyone Seeks Clarity
Colton feels he has the best connection with Bailee and Zoe, and observes that Keeley is also a great person. However, he feels that Hope has a different vision from his, so he wants to speak with her on this matter. In the meantime, Hope shares the same feelings since she cannot understand him and is eager to learn what he wants from their relationship. Jay recalls the rough situation on his farm after he chooses to bring Rissa back and informs the farmers about Julia and T’yana’s departure. Above all, he believes his mother made a great selection, and simultaneously, he is excited about his other two ladies. Meanwhile, Grace informs Kimberley that Jay’s decision hurt her because it made her and Karina feel they lacked some qualities.
When Colton asks John about his mom’s pick, he excitedly reveals that he and Juliana hit it off instantly. He divulges her background in Italian culinary studies and adds that she is incredible. As Juliana and Rissa find their way to each other, they strike up a conversation about being the newly introduced ladies. While the culinary expert notes that everyone around her is on edge, the latter feels that both of them have a disadvantage compared to the other girls in terms of time. Juliana states that if they are meant to be together, the outcome will emerge accordingly. Meanwhile, Claire informs Chelsi that her lack of alone time with John and Juliana’s arrival puts everything in perspective for her. Although they understand each other well, she hopes they will open up for serious conversations.
On the other hand, Chelsi feels that despite their similar personalities, she is unsure if she and Matt are just friends or something more. The focus shifts to the farmers, where Matt discloses that he is holding out from kissing anyone since he does not want to send anyone home after that. As they finally arrive on the farm, Kimberley informs them that they can spend more time with the ladies and better understand the connections. Furthermore, the farmers will invite their last solo date after the trip ends. Lily genuinely wants John to open up more in this experience to determine if it is worth it for her to stay. Jay decides to pull Karina aside to understand her better. The latter reveals she is more bothered about his decision since it came right after their solo date. Jay reassures her, saying he likes her and can visualize her in Alabama.
Honest Conversations Reshape the Farmers’ Journey With Unexpected Exits
Although Karina is still hesitant about Jay, his reassurance does the trick for her. Dinner time brings another surprise, as Kimberley has invited the season 2 couple, Nathan and Taylor, to help the farmers make tough decisions. During Nathan’s conversation with Colton, the latter reveals that the hardest part of the experience is not hurting anyone’s feelings. While Taylor advises them to focus on the ones with whom their vision of a relationship matches, her partner suggests that they become comfortable with the feeling of uneasiness. Matt finds these pieces of advice helpful since it all comes down to taking the one home with whom he connects the most. He hints that he has decided on one of the ladies with whom he does not feel a strong romantic connection and pulls Alexandra away.
Colton reveals that although Hope is a remarkable person, he has to end their relationship because he does not see them together in the future. Matt opens up about his feelings before Alexandra, although it is hard for him, and states that he feels something is wrong with their connection. She expresses her understanding, informing him that she shared the same feelings but wanted to hear it from him. Meanwhile, Colton honestly conveys his emotions to Hope, stating he does not want to string her along. He believes neither of them can make the other person happy. Hope remarks that she understands his point of view, marking the end of their connection. After hugging the farmers goodbye, both ladies inform the girls about their departure.
While Hope informs them that she and Matt are on the same page, Hope excitedly says she is one step closer to finding her husband. Matt is confident about finding a wife since he feels the experience has helped him to open up more. In the meantime, Chelsi notes that although Alexandra was incredible, she is glad to see Matt making decisions. Colton and Bailee excuse themselves from the murmur, where the latter discloses that she despises sharing him. As he calms her down, the duo share a passionate kiss under the stars. While Jay is busy reassuring Grace, John is narrowing down his choice since three of his ladies still have not received a solo date. He takes Clare away from the crowd, and they discuss how they have such different personalities, yet their connection is quite impressive.
Grand Gestures Bring Clarity to Those Ready For Love
When John asks Claire if she still wants to be on the farm, she turns the question around toward him. As both of them agree about her position on the farm, she expresses her hope to get a solo date and progress their connection. Meanwhile, Juliana reveals her concern that all the other ladies have spent more time with John, and she wants him to pick her for the solo date so that she can become comfortable. After informing his ladies about his trying to open up more and provide clarity, Matt pulls Chelsi aside since both of them have kept their guards up. He takes a big step to express his feelings for her and arranges for a cake and flowers for her belated birthday. As they discuss their family, Matt slowly remarks that they are pretty similar and confesses that he likes her.
As Matt calls her pretty and smart, it leaves Chelsi feeling giddy, and the duo spends the rest of their time smiling lovingly at one another. She is delighted to hear the words from him finally and feels this has made the experience more real for her. Matt notes that she is quite hard to figure out, but quickly adds that he is, too. As he proceeds to spend more time with Jordyn, Jay turns his attention to getting to know Rissa better. She states that she loves traveling, but she is in love with the farm life. In the meantime, John remarks that he has a spark with Lily from the beginning, and hence, he wants to speak with her to express his emotions. In her confessional, she divulges that Juliana’s introduction confused her, and she needs clarity on the situation.
As John brings up Juliana right at the beginning of their conversation, Lily notes that they should carefully use their one-on-one time since it is short. They discuss their hurdles to opening up after longer periods and finally end up sharing their feelings of affection towards one another. John gradually leans in for a romantic kiss, leaving her feeling lucky since it is his first kiss on the show. When she giddily arrives and informs the girls about the gesture, it makes Kaylee upset. It leaves her wondering about her connection with John since it is not blossoming. Moreover, she is conflicted about whether to stay on the farm. John quickly takes note of the situation and checks up on her in order to find where the situation is heading. Kaylee says Nathan and Taylor have something special, and as she observes them more, she realizes John is not the one.
The Choice of the Farmers For Their Final Dates Leaves a Trail of Heartbreak
John agrees that maybe the connection he and Kaylee initially hoped for is not present. Ultimately, she decides to leave the farm, and in her exit interview, she opens up that deep down, she always knew he was not her person. Her exit prompts John to note that their relationship is not heading in a romantic direction, and he hopes she will find the one for her. Amid this, Colton states that although he and Zoe had a fabulous solo date, he wants to change only one thing about the day – show her how much he likes her. Zoe expresses that their last date was incredible and compliments how they always concentrate on their own things without interfering. As she continues about how much she loves this quality about him, he tricks her into a passionate kiss, bringing the emotion a tad bit higher.
As Bailee watches Colton pursue someone else, it frustrates her. However, she decides to remain calm and see where it goes despite being unsure regarding her connection. As the sun rises on the horizon, Zoe and Colton’s closeness keeps bothering Bailee. Halleh suggests that if she were in her place, she would definitely talk with him. She hopes to get the final date with him because she feels he does not like her the same way she does. For her, reassurance from Colton is the top priority because otherwise, she will find it hard to stay back. After an emotionally charged camping trip, it is now time for the farmer to decide who they want to take for their solo date. Kimberley announces that this is an essential decision since they are approaching the end, and it will be the last chance before it all narrows down to the final two ladies.
Jodyn notes that she is curious to discover his choice since she has been in the flirty friend zone. Meanwhile, Chelsi wishes to be the one to spend more time together, and to her delight, Matt chooses her for the final date. However, this leaves Halleh shocked, and she notes that she needs clarification from him. Jay decides to explore his connection with Rissa since he feels his mother has chosen her for a reason. Although Bailee wants to be selected, she is disappointed when Colton asks Keeley out since she has not gotten any one-on-one time with him. Despite Juliana’s wish to be John’s solo date, he picks Claire. As they depart with their dates, Kimberley advises the girls not to leave anything unsaid. The episode ends with Juliana expressing her need to speak to John so that she can become comfortable staying at the farm.
