Love and the promise of a future together are always at the heart of Fox’s ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ as farmers from across the country open their hearts in search of a lasting connection. In Season 4, the focus is on the three farmers: Braden Pridemore, Brett Maverick, and Sean Cavanaugh, who are guided through this journey by the host, Kimberly Williams-Paisley. With only two remaining ladies on each farm, the farmers now make their final decisions in season 4, episode 8, titled, ‘Final Decisions: It’s Always Been You.’ For three lucky women, the choice leads them to finding love and earning a place beside the farmer on the farm.
A Difficult Goodbye Leaves Brittney in Tears as Braden Makes His Decision
Sean, Brett, and Braden now hope to find their soulmate and fall in love by choosing one of the final two ladies, with whom they can picture spending the rest of their lives. The spotlight first falls on Braden’s farm, where he is worried about the distance between his two women, who will be isolated there, far from the city. He shares that, from the beginning, he wanted to know more about Casey because he realized she wasn’t trying too hard to impress him. However, she lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and the distance may take her away from her family, which worries him. On the other hand, Brittney surprises him by assuring him she would move here, but he can see she truly loves her career, which she has worked hard for.
While Casey finds the uncertainty difficult to bear, Brittney is both hopeful and nervous because she can see a future with Braden and is not ready to walk away. The farmer realizes that he will just trust his intuition and heart for the crucial decision. As Brittney arrives, Braden tells her that from the moment he met her, he felt a connection and had initially thought she was quiet and reserved, but he was wrong about that. Braden eventually admits that their first solo date was memorable, and she quickly agrees that it helped solidify her feelings towards him. He states that he can see how passionate she is about her career, but he never wants to be the one to take her away from what she has worked so hard for. Braden confesses that he never lacked any feelings for her and truly believed in their connection.
Ultimately, Braden explains that he has realized he needs to prioritize Brittney’s happiness and apologizes to her. When she walks away crying, the producers ask her to have the tough conversation with the farmer. She then returns to ask him why he hasn’t chosen her because she is confused. He promptly elaborates that he doesn’t feel the farm life will suit her, and his heart is pulling him in another direction. However, Brittney is completely baffled because she thought the feeling was mutual. As she walks away crying, Braden feels horrible because she doesn’t deserve this. Yet, he also acknowledges that she deserves the entire world, and he wouldn’t be able to give it to her. In her exit interview, Brittney admits that she feels blindsided and hurt because he always validated her feelings.
Braden and Casey Embrace Their Future Together While Brett Bids Hanna Goodbye
When Braden finally meets Casey, he tells her he was attracted to her from the beginning. He says she is one of the most authentic and secure people he has ever met, and she thanks him for making the experience so comfortable. He explains to her that she has worked quite hard to build her career, and he doesn’t want to get in the way of it. Braden feels that throughout the experience, they have discussed how distance is a significant factor, but she is someone who makes the people around her better. He finally confesses that it has always been her, since they always have the hard conversations, and he wants to navigate it with her. As Casey reciprocates his feelings, the duo share a romantic kiss. The attention then shifts to Brett’s farm, where he shares that he never expected to find two amazing women with whom he could connect.
Brett has enjoyed knowing more about Hanna, and he loves being around her. Similarly, he and Quinn have built a strong connection over time, and he is especially attracted to her sincerity. He feels that there is a very good chance that his final choice will lead him to a long-lasting path. Quinn feels her feelings for the farmer have grown over time, but it is truly nerve-racking to be put in such a position, as it makes her anxious. Similarly, Hanna is scared to put all her emotions out in the open, although Brett is an amazing person. As she arrives before him, he admits they had an instant connection because of her impressive personality and humorous nature. He loves that she is a driven and genuine individual because it has helped him open up to her.
Hanna then tells Brett that she entered the experience with no expectations, but he has made her feel heard and seen, and has allowed her to be vulnerable. He reveals that they have always been honest with each other, but it isn’t easy for him to say this is the end of their romantic journey. However, he is confident that they will always be friends. Hanna quickly agrees with him, admitting that he has shown that good guys still exist. She adds that if she had the chance to do it again, she wouldn’t change anything. In her exit interview, Hanna divulges that Brett made her feel safe to be open and share her past experiences. She loves Quinn, and if he chooses her, Hanna will be happy for the lady. The farmer feels that, at the end of the day, he and Hanna always knew that their connection was more of a friendship.
Brett and Quinn Celebrate Their New Beginning While Sean Weighs His Final Choice
As Quinn approaches the location to meet Brett, the farmer reveals that she can be his future wife and hopes she feels the same. Upon arrival, he tells her that from the beginning, he felt she was genuine and patient. He feels they can understand each other in a single glance, which captivated him. He admits that he never expected anything to come out of the experience, but the more he is around Quinn, the more he wants to be around her. Brett confesses that whenever she isn’t there, he always misses her. She explains that she also had no expectations, but he makes her feel seen, safe, and comfortable.
Brett continues by saying that they can easily talk about anything and don’t always have to be serious. He further mentions that he hasn’t ever felt that way before. He finally asks her if she is willing to see how their journey moves forward, to which Quinn gladly says yes. During their interview, the farmer discloses that he can envision a future with Quinn, including marriage and children. Lastly, the focus shifts to Sean’s farm, where he reveals he never expected to be so conflicted. He has two amazing women who can change the course of his life. From the beginning, he and Emily have formed a strong bond. He remarks that she always tries to be the best version of herself, and he loves that about her. They also share an interest in having a family in the future.
On the other hand, Sean feels that Carson is someone he can fall in love with, given her playful demeanor. Their connection has developed significantly over the past two weeks, and she is able to think outside the box. Although Sean is aware that he has told both Carson and Emily he is falling for them, he has only one woman in mind, with whom he can picture his forever. Emily can see a future with the farmer and hopes to grow with him. On the other hand, Carson notes that the decision is scary because her feelings are involved. Sean realizes he has to make an important decision and wants to make the right choice.
Sean Makes His Ultimate Decision by Declaring His Deep Feelings For Emily
As Carson arrives before the farmer, he tells her that when he first met her, she was skeptical and honest, which he admires greatly. He reveals that what further impressed him was that she never sugarcoated things or said anything he wanted to hear. He admits that their connection was a slow burn, but things moved forward during their mystery yoga date. Sean feels his cheeks hurt from laughing whenever he is around Carson, especially because they share so many good memories together. She also remarks that he is amazing and made her feel comfortable being herself. Sadly, he tells Carson that he is following his heart, which is leading him in a different direction. He admits that both of them have always held back, but he has realized that the development of feelings between soulmates should be evident from the beginning.
Carson confesses that she is glad her bond with Sean eventually developed, but she values his words. Hence, she bids him goodbye after giving him a heartfelt hug. In her exit interview, Carson states that she feels sad to leave him behind because she loved him. When the farmer finally comes face to face with Emily, he reminisces about their speed date. Sean recalls how both he and Emily calmed each other down, and he immediately felt comfortable around her. He reveals that he was at a loss for words on that day as he sat there looking into her eyes. She quickly conveys her gratitude toward him for making her feel so seen and understood. She then reveals that she has written him a letter, expressing how similar their feelings are.
These feelings have made Emily excited to see Sean’s life and figure out who he is as a person. In the letter, Emily states that, as their journey on the show comes to an end, she feels this path will lead them to where they are meant to be. Sean then states that every moment he gets to spend with her is surreal, and he has found something real with her. He feels blessed to meet her through such a unique experience. In the end, he asks Emily if she is willing to pursue what they have started and see where the road leads them. Without much hesitation, she quickly says yes, remarking that it was also an easy yes when he asked her to come to the farm with him. After they share a passionate kiss, Sean confesses that he thinks he has found his wife.
