Frankie believed that her performance skills, reading people, masking her emotions, and adapting quickly would give her an edge in a game built on deception. Throughout the competition, those instincts proved invaluable. Her biggest test came during the ninth round table, when a wave of uncertainty fell on her. Several contestants were moments away from voting her out, firmly convinced she could be a Traitor. Despite the pressure, Frankie managed to deflect the blame and survived the elimination.
As the game moved toward its end, she gained a crucial advantage of the Seer power. This twist allowed her to choose one contestant for a face-to-face meeting, during which they would have to reveal whether they were a Faithful or a Traitor. Frankie selected Charlotte Berman, correctly identifying her as a Traitor. However, the reveal did not go as expected. Instead of being exposed, Charlotte flipped the situation the next morning by accusing Frankie of being the Traitor in a desperate attempt to protect herself. Frankie pushed through to the final day despite the lingering doubts surrounding her. She survived the initial vote at the finale but was ultimately eliminated in the last round, falling just short of claiming the prize.
Francesca Rowan-Plowden is Widely Recognized as a Distinguished Interior Designer Today
Francesca “Frankie” Rowan-Plowden’s professional journey began in the late 1990s, when she trained as an actress at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001. She then continued her performing arts education at Kensington and Chelsea College, earning a City and Guilds Stage 2 qualification in Drama Teaching in 2002. Over the following years, she built a career in theatre and performance. Her transition into interior design began around 2007, when, at the age of 28, she applied for a design opportunity at the National Trust’s Lamb House. After a demanding selection process, she secured the role, which marked the beginning of her design career. In 2008, she formally launched Rowan Plowden Design Ltd, an interior design studio specializing in historical estates, commercial buildings, and private homes.
Over the years, her work has appeared in Elle Decoration, House & Garden, Homes and Gardens, Country Homes and Interiors, The Saturday Telegraph Magazine, and other leading outlets. In 2009, she founded The Lamb Players, a theatre company made up of performers from the RSC, National Theatre, television, and the West End. The company gained recognition for staging Shakespearean productions in the gardens of Lamb House. In 2019, she was highlighted as a Tastemaker, with her creative work being featured in several major publications. Frankie’s firm has completed major restorations, including the redesign of Goodnestone Park with McCully and Crane. She is currently leading full-scale renovations at Kingshill Farmhouse in Elmley Nature Reserve and Battel Hall at Leeds Castle, both tailored for the luxury wedding and holiday market.
In April 2020, during the early months of the COVID-19 crisis, Frankie founded Design Havens for Heroes, a charity initiative that unites interior designers to create comforting “Haven” makeovers for NHS workers. The project has grown into a respected community effort that continues to operate. Alongside her design work, Frankie also runs the Ferry Road Store and continues her long-term involvement with The Lamb Players. Recently, her individual profile has expanded further through brand partnerships with John Lewis, Avon UK, Peugeot, and multiple editorial features in 2025 across Country Homes, Telegraph Lifestyle, The Fold London, and You Magazine. She is also the Interior Designer for ITV’s ‘This Morning’ and appears on some episodes as well. Today, she stands as an accomplished designer, founder, and creative professional with a remarkable multidisciplinary career.
Francesca Rowan-Plowden’s Four Kids Are Her First Priority
Francesca relocated to London at the age of 28 in 2007. At the time, she was married and already a mother of two—one a toddler and the other only a few months old. Life changed rapidly, and within a year, she found herself raising her children alone. Friends and family encouraged her to return to Essex for support, but Francesca chose to remain in London, determined to build a future for herself and her young family. That decision became a defining moment. Not long after, she landed the opportunity that kick-started her design career and opened the door to everything that followed.
Eventually, Francesca married again, this time to Piers Plowden, and together they welcomed two more children. Although it appears the two have since gone their separate ways, Francesca has continued to balance her profession with her role as a mother. In 2024, her eldest child left for university. It was an emotional milestone she has spoken about with pride, gratitude, and disbelief at how quickly the years pass. She often reflects on how her children still need her in different ways, and how she tries to cherish every phase of their lives. Animals have always been a comforting presence for her.
During her early years as a single mother, she adopted a rescue dog named Freud, and that bond has lasted many years. She is now also a dog-mum to Gracie and Tilly, both of whom frequently appear in her life updates. Despite the responsibilities on her shoulders, Francesca ensures she still pursues joy, travel, and new experiences. A trip to New York in June 2025 felt especially meaningful to her, symbolising how far she has come and the work behind her success. Today, she leverages her growing digital platform to connect with people who admire her work, regularly sharing interior design insights, styling ideas, and glimpses into the life she has built for herself.
