Netflix’s ‘Paparazzi King’ explores the ambitious life and distinctive career of Italian media personality Fabrizio Corona. It delves into all his endeavors through an honest lens, with him also sharing that he grew up obsessed with proving himself worthy of his family’s legacy. Thus, his beloved mother, Gabriella Previtera Corona, plays a significant role by shedding light on the relationship they share.
Gabriella Previtera Corona Has Always Supported Her Loved Ones
Gabriella Previtera Corona has been reported to have had a career in journalism. She had allegedly developed an interest in the field at a relatively early age, driving her to pursue it as soon as she had completed her studies and then work hard to climb up the internal ladder. That’s possibly when she first came across Vittorio Corona, a visionary correspondent and well-respected reporter who helped shape the way Italian newspapers/channels operated in the 1980s.

Gabriella and Vittorio had not only tied the knot by the time the decade of decadence rolled around, but they had also happily settled down in Milan and welcomed three sons into the world. According to the matriarch, she subsequently ensured to raise her boys — Fabrizio Corona, Federico Corona, and Francesco Corona — in a comfortable, cultured, yet humble environment. From what we can tell, she essentially devoted herself to family upon becoming a mother, resulting in her being the glue that kept everyone together even after the children grew into full-fledged adults.
It actually appears as if Gabriella and Vittorio gradually also became a source of inspiration for their three sons, especially as they all decided to follow in their footsteps in one way or another. While Fabrizio evolved into the so-called entrepreneurial Paparazzi King, Federico pursued a career in traditional journalism, and Francesco worked hard to become a highly regarded videographer. Therefore, it was a shock to them when Vittorio was diagnosed with cancer. The family later faced additional strain as Fabrizio’s legal troubles coincided with Vittorio’s declining health.

Gabriella Previtera Corona Prefers to Lead a Family-Focused Life Today
According to Gabriella’s own account in the show, she was furious with Fabrizio when he decided to reveal that he was the center of a criminal investigation during a family dinner. She appreciated his honesty, but she was more focused on her husband’s health at the time, and the news of their son potentially going to jail didn’t help him in any way, shape, or form. Unfortunately, Vittorio lost his long battle with illness at the age of 58 on January 24, 2007, while surrounded by loved ones at home. Meanwhile, Fabrizio was also arrested on charges of extortion not long after. What followed was a tumultuous period for the Corona family, with Gabriella and Fabrizio also being at odds as they could not see eye to eye on almost anything they were going through.

According to an interview, the mother of 3 wondered why her son didn’t refrain from going to extremes for money. She said Fabrizio could not understand her unwavering dedication to the family. According to records, he once stated that he appreciated everything she had done for him and where she was coming from, but he didn’t understand why she didn’t rebuild after his father’s death. After all, Gabriella’s focus following Vittorio’s demise was grieving, being there for all her sons, and taking care of her grandson Carlos Corona. The latter is the only child of Fabrizio and his first wife, Nina Morić, so after the couple filed for divorce in 2007, he was under his grandmother’s custody for a while.
Since then, that has remained Gabriella’s focus: to continue being there for her family, strengthening their internal bonds, and ensuring the world knows who they really are. In fact, although she prefers to keep her personal life out of the limelight for privacy reasons as of writing, she never shies away from standing up for Fabrizio or any other loved one. She even urged the justice system not to incarcerate her son in 2021 following his arrest for violating probation rules, expressing concern over his mental health, which she said made him vulnerable to self-harm.
