Since Gergana Lazarova revealed that she has never romantically said “I love you,” the words hold a special meaning for her, and she hopes to only say them to her forever partner. That’s why she joined the cast of Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind: Italy,’ tired of the messiness and superficiality in modern dating, hoping the show might help her find her true love. She had no idea it would directly lead her to Parminder “Parmi” Singh, who would truly shatter all her defenses within days by simply being his authentic, calm, gentle, and passionate self.
Gergana and Parmi Connected Despite Their Differences
From the moment 30-year-old Gergana first met 34-year-old Parmi in the pods, they fell into an easy flow, thanks to their decision to initially focus on rather general topics of conversation. They thus discussed their families and careers, with the latter choosing to keep the details of his background private because it might immediately give away his ethnicity/how he probably looks. She understood his prerogative since she herself is Bulgarian. Still, she didn’t shy away from opening up about it as she wanted to convey the significance of her immigrant parents in her life.
Gergana and Parmi subsequently bonded over their shared childhood dream of being a flight attendant, only to discover that they had actually pursued drastically different careers. That’s when the latter knew she was and would remain his top pick, unaware that she would also develop an attachment to 36-year-old Event Organizer Giovanni Calvario. She was hence hurt when he swiftly ended things to build a relationship with 35-year-old Genetic Biologist Giorgia Paselli, only for her to suddenly find comfort with Parmi. He didn’t pressure her into anything, but he did end up talking about his Indian heritage when the topic of tattoos came up because he has many on his body to represent the same.
It was then that their situation became tense as Gergana revealed that Parmi’s ethnicity might be an issue for her parents, and by extension, her, because their opinion means everything. She even divulged they are sadly ill, so there are a lot of expectations, pressures, and responsibilities she is willingly taking head-on, so she needs a partner who would truly support her. The young Bulgarian could never have imagined Parmi’s response – “I’ll stand and fight with you, if you stand and fight with me” – which stole her heart as well as scared her all at once. She still worried about what her parents might think, since he didn’t deserve any hurt, but she also knew she had to follow her heart, and thus said yes when he ultimately got down on one knee.
Gergana and Parmi Have Parted Ways Romantically For Good
When Gergana and Parmi finally came face-to-face for the first time, the energy between them as they melted into one another’s arms before sharing a cozy kiss was perfectly electric. The way he always said the right things gave her a sense of safety and made her feel genuinely heard in the pods, which translated into real life during their romantic getaway to Morocco, further solidifying their romance. Therefore, despite his initially having trouble connecting her voice to her face and her manner of being, it was evident that their emotional bond had passed the test of physicality. However, as they returned to Italy to live together, it appears that outside noise, cultural differences, and the possibility of being long-distance created a significant divide.
After all, while Gergana has happily built a life for herself near her parents in Milan, Parmi’s base is in close proximity to his loved ones as well as his business in Florence. The couple was aware of this from the outset, along with the fact that the latter could not relocate; yet, they continued on while holding onto the hope that everything would work out. In the end, though, despite both families understanding that this is a path the individuals have to navigate on their own, they never ended up saying “I do” because Gerganna knew they needed more time. They did reconnect later on, but owing to long-distance and communication issues, causing a lot of misunderstanding, they ended up parting ways again for good. In the reunion, Garganna admitted she still loves Parmi, but he stated that while he genuinely still cares for her, he doesn’t love her. It hurt, but she appreciated his honesty. So, as also made evident through their social media profiles, they currently lead drastically different lives in different areas of Italy.

Gergana and Parmi Are Proud Professionals in Different Fields
Although Gergana is a native of Bulgaria, she has been an Italian resident since she was a young girl and even finished her primary education at Giordano Bruno Linguistic High School. She then kick-started her career as a part-time Sales Assistant at Luxottica in October 2016, two years later. Following this, she joined Angelini Beauty as a full-time Beauty Advisor in July 2017. She served there until July 2019, then joined Giorgio Armani as a Sales Representative for two months, before moving to Mandarina Duck in the same position until January 2020.
Gergana further held additional Sales jobs at Pomellato from January 2020 to May 2021, Sixt for a month, Furla from July 2021 to December 2021, and Pomellato again until October 2023. That’s when she joined DoDo Jewels as an Assistant Store Manager, just to be promoted to Store Manager within a few months, which is a title she proudly holds to this day. Apart from this, the now 31-year-old – she celebrated her birthday in Germany on October 24, 2025 – is also a rising model as well as a public figure. The travel enthusiast has not only worked with brands such as Vivaia and McDonald’s, but has also attended Milan Fashion Week 2025. It appears she continues to maintain a strong relationship with both her parents.
Coming to Parmi, he still resides in Italy’s Tuscany region, where he is the proud owner-operator of Raja Indian Lounge Restaurant in Prato and a boxing, dance, and gym aficionado. In fact, whenever he is not working, he can be found either focusing on his fitness, enjoying downtime with his cat, spending quality time with his parents, brother, and friends, or traveling the world. He visited Istanbul, Turkey, in August 2022, Budapest, Hungary, in August 2023, Stockholm, Sweden, in April 2024, Wrocław, as well as Warsaw, Poland, in August 2024, and Barcelona, Spain, in August 2024. Since then, the now 35-year-old has also visited the Island of Elba, Italy, in September 2024, Mallorca, Spain, in August 2025, and Puglia, Italy, in August and September 2025.
