The third chapter of Emily and Jared’s heartwarming holiday saga is not far away! Moviedelic can confirm that Hallmark has ordered the threequel to the romantic comedy TV film ‘Haul Out the Holly.’ The movie, titled ‘Haul Out the Holly 3,’ will enter production in Utah on an undetermined date. Maclain Nelson, who helmed the first two installments, is directing the project based on a screenplay by Christopher Sey. Lacey Chabert will reprise her original character, Emily.
In the first ‘Haul Out the Holly’ movie, Emily navigates a challenging holiday season after her deceitful boyfriend evicts her from her apartment. Seeking solace, she returns to her hometown, only to discover that her parents have abandoned her to search for a new home in Florida, leaving her with unexpected responsibilities. Instead of running away from her chaotic neighborhood, Emily chooses to stay and celebrate the holidays, only to find herself unexpectedly attracted to Jared, the very person who makes her life complicated.
In the sequel, titled ‘Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up,’ Emily and Jared are thrilled to celebrate Christmas together as a couple. Embracing the unique charm of Evergreen Lane, she is eager to collaborate with her partner and their friends to ensure this year’s festivities are unforgettable, even if her relationship with the HOA president doesn’t shield her from pesky decorating citations. When a new home hits the market, excitement ripples through the neighborhood, especially when the incoming residents are revealed to be holiday royalty.
In the third installment of the franchise, ardent admirers can expect more holiday cheer and festive drama as Chabert’s Emily is expected to deal with Christmas challenges in Evergreen Lane again. In addition to the actress, we can also anticipate Wes Brown as Jared, Stephen Tobolowsky as Ned, Melissa Peterman as Pamela, and Ellen Travolta as Mary Louise in the threequel.
The previous two ‘Haul Out the Holly’ films were also shot in Utah. Hallmark projects such as ‘Christmas Tree Lane’ and ‘Branching Out’ are two of the other prominent projects filmed in the state.
