Jasmine Roth is not done with fixing botched DIY renovations! HGTV has renewed the reality series ‘Help! I Wrecked My House’ for its fifth season. The production department is currently seeking homeowners located in Park City, Salt Lake City, or surrounding areas in Utah who are in need of a second renovation to rectify their mistakes. The installment is expected to come out in 2025.
In the fourth season, Roth came to the rescue of Zoey and Nick with design inspiration. The two had owned the home for thirteen and a half years and had been constantly working on it since. Despite having a great view and location, the couple wasn’t satisfied with the pace of their remodeling and pushed themselves too much, making the property unlivable. After the family of five had lived in a separate apartment for two years, they were glad to welcome Roth to take a crack at the two-story house.
As the installment concluded, with the home’s interiors still at a premature stage, Roth had a lot more creative liberty along with a total budget of $185,000. She quickly took stock of the situation and realized that the owners had been struggling with their chosen style and had prematurely bought the flooring tiles for the upstairs space. With her signature innovativeness, she incorporated the work they had already done into her design and, with largely cosmetic decisions, styled and furnished the rooms into picture-perfect contemporary spaces.
The latest season will, of course, see Roth return as the host. Following her second pregnancy, she is selling her California home and moving to Park City, Utah. The city served as the vacation destination for Jasmine and her husband, Brett, while they were growing up. It also happens to be where they got married in 2013 and bought a second home in 2015. Roth is already active in the region’s building and real estate market and has begun advertising her Roth Homestead in Huntington Beach, California, for sale.
Considering the change in scenery, we can expect Roth’s style to evolve with the location. In an interview, she confirmed that “it’s going to feel cozier, it’s going to feel mountain. It’s going to feel more seasonal.” As far as the homes are concerned, the producers are looking for 3-4 spaces in need of renovation rescue with a budget of over $100,000.
Other reality shows shot in and/or around Salt Lake City include ‘American Idol,’ ‘Breaking Pointe,’ ‘Bully Beatdown,’ ‘The Biggest Loser,’ and ‘The Bachelor,’ while ‘The Amazing Race’ was shot in Park City.
