In the episode titled ‘The Real Iron Claw’ of Investigation Discovery’s ‘Hollywood Demons,’ the primary focus is on the legendary wrestling dynasty of the Von Erich family, which consisted of six brothers. Tragically, their legend was marked by the untimely passing of four of them, including Kerry Von Erich. The documentary features his two daughters, Hollie Chilton and Lacey Von Erich, who went into detail about their father’s early life and how his death brought changes in their lives.
Hollie Chilton and Lacey Von Erich Lost Their Father at a Young Age
About a year after the marital union of Kerry Von Erich and Catherine M. Murray, they welcomed their first daughter, Hollie Brooke, on September 19, 1984. Less than two years later, Lacey Dawn Adkisson was born on July 17, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. Just a month before Lacey was born, Kerry met with a life-threatening motorcycle accident on June 4, 1986, leading to a dislocated hip and amputation of his right foot. Eventually, due to regular ingestion of painkillers after the amputation, he battled substance abuse, which eventually led to his arrest.
Amidst all the chaos, Hollie and Lacey witnessed their parents’ divorce in 1992. Within a year, they suffered the biggest loss of their lives on the fateful day of February 18, 1993, when their beloved father, Kerry, took his own life on a ranch in Denton County, Texas. Several years later, in 2009, the two grown-up daughters got the opportunity to collect two WWE Hall of Fame rings on behalf of their late father, Kerry Von Erich.

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Hollie Adkisson was deeply affected by the tragic death of her father, Kerry Von Erich. However, she managed to get through the tough circumstances and move forward, striving to make her late father proud of her. In 2006, she landed a job at Mattress Land, where she served as a Sales Manager for a decade or so. In between, she pursued a degree in Dental Hygiene from Texas Women’s University and graduated in 2011. Putting her degree to good use, Hollie volunteered at Salud y Paz as a Dental Assistant and Hygienist for several years, between 2009 and 2017. In September 2013, after gaining enough experience in the field, she got employed as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Stonebriar Smile Design, PA.
For a change, she has also reportedly been hosting guests at a property in Chandler, Texas, through Airbnb, since February 2017. Lacey Von Erich is a Devoted Wife and a Doting Mother to Three Kids
Lacey Von Erich grew up without the love and care of her father, Kerry Von Erich, but she didn’t let it affect her personal or professional growth. In fact, she got inspired by her father’s wrestling legacy and followed in his footsteps. From 2007 to 2010, Lacey made a mark on the wrestling industry through her short stints in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the Independent circuit, Wrestlicious, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). During her time in TNA, she even earned the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship once.
Between 2008 and 2010, she regularly featured in the wrestling podcast called ‘False Count Radio.’ Once she retired from wrestling, Lacey featured in the documentary ‘Card Subject to Change’ and expanded her career further by becoming a Personal Banker at JPMorgan Chase. In February 2013, she reportedly switched to First Rate Financial Group, where she was employed as a Loan Transaction Coordinator. She also became a part-owner of SWE Fury, alongside a business partner, in 2021. As far as her personal life is concerned, she received a big health scare in early 2009, when she was diagnosed with meningitis.
Fortunately, she fully recovered from it. In 2011, she married her soulmate, Grant Blindbury, with whom she shares two sons and a daughter named Barbie. Residing in Westlake Village, California, Lacey Blindbury loves spending time with her husband and children. Having an adventurous and free-spirited soul, she travels to all kinds of destinations with her beloved family. After all these years, she also maintains a close-knit bond with her mother.
