When MrBeast offered a $50,000 bribe to quit, all three refused, but Ian ultimately encouraged Ethan to take the money. He was given the option of retaining ownership or cashing it out for its assessed value of $1.8 million. After seeing the logistical challenges firsthand, including transportation access, communication limitations, and the long-term complexity of maintaining the property, Ian chose to sell the island and take the payout, citing family security as the deciding factor. Professionally, Ian comes from a disciplined background. He worked a corporate job for roughly 14 years, often maintaining six- to seven-day workweeks, before transitioning toward building his own ventures.
Parallel to that career, he established himself as a top-tier athlete in the obstacle sports world. Ian is a three-time American Ninja Warrior champion, a distinction that places him among the most accomplished competitors in the franchise’s history and solidifies his reputation within the broader fitness community. He is also the co-owner of Ninja 2 Go, a mobile ninja gym based in Utah that brings obstacle-based training directly to schools, events, and communities. Outside of athletics, Ian has built a significant creative presence as a Hot Wheels custom artist, with a personal collection exceeding 5,000 cars.
His work and reach earned him recognition from Mattel. In May 2025, he was selected as one of six featured creators for Mattel Creations Revealed and has participated in several competitive series as well. Through his platform, Ian consistently promotes fitness and discipline. One of his ongoing series includes a daily challenge of completing 50 pull-ups, which he documents to motivate others toward sustainable physical goals.
Ian Weber and His Family Push Each Other for Physical Fitness
For Ian, family sits firmly at the center of his life. He is married to Karissa Weber, and the couple marked 15 years of marriage in June 2025. Together, they are raising three children, Kayden, Jaylie, and Emmett. Fitness and obstacle training are shared family pursuits. All three children train in ninja-style athletics, and Karissa is actively involved in training as well. In 2025, the entire family participated together at the Ninja Sport Network (NSN) World Championships, showing how deeply integrated the sport is into their daily lives. Ian has often spoken about being a hands-on, proud father and prioritizing family above accolades. The Webers are based in Lehi, Utah, where they have built an active family life that they love.
