The woman has overtaken the reins of the “outing business” run through a deal between the inmates and the wardens, where some of the women go out at night to sleep with and subsequently rob rich victims. In the Mud Season 2 Recap
Gladys’ foray into civil society only lasts so long as she ends up back behind bars after a drug deal gone wrong gets her busted by the authorities. As such, she returns to La Quebrada and learns that a lot has changed in her absence. For one, there’s a new kingpin in charge, Gringa Casares, the matriarch from a known crime family. With the help of her gang, she has taken over Zurda’s business, running interference between the women who go on “nightly outings” and the wardens who take a cut from their business. As a result, conflict has steadily been brewing between her and Zurda. On the other hand, her girlfriend, Nicole, who is mostly with her due to a mix of fear and quid pro quo, is having an affair with another inmate, Solita. As Gladys is still settling into the new norm of the prison, she receives some awful news from the outside world. Her grandson has been kidnapped, likely by the same people with whom she struck the drug deal.

Therefore, Gladys finds herself in a tight spot, needing to solve a grave problem in the outside world from within the prison walls. Fortunately enough, a twist of fate brings an unexpected opportunity to her doorstep. After getting caught by Gringa’s second, Sabina, Nicole & Solita end up murdering her in cold blood. As a result, the latter ends up coming to her old friend for help with covering their tracks. The next day, when the prison guards find Sabina’s body, the perpetrators behind the crime remain unknown to all. Meanwhile, Gladys finds the right leverage over two individuals to pull off her own mission. As it turns out, she has a dangerous plan in mind. Every night, Zurda’s women go out of the prison on outings where they target opulent events and venues to seduce wealthy men, drug them, and rob them of their cash and belongings. In order to save her grandson, she schemes to target Aquino’s son, Julian, during one such outing.
Thus, Gladys begins working for Gringa to secure the driver position during these outings. At the end of the night, Nicole has successfully helped her kidnap Julian. The women bring him back to the prison and leave him tied up in an abandoned part of the property. Afterward, Gladys uses her outside source, Claudia, to send a message to Aquino, extending an offer for a trade: a son for a son. In the meantime, hostile sentiments toward Gringa continue to grow, especially from her daughter, Neive, who is also in the same prison. The latter detests her mother for her disapproval of her relationship with her boyfriend, Ciro. Therefore, her detestation turns into full hatred once the other woman uses her influence to have Ciro killed in the outside world. Consequently, when Neive tries to break away from her overbearing mother, others, namely Nayla and her gang of the prison’s younger group, seek to take advantage of it.

Nayla earns Neive’s trust and tricks her into betraying Gringa and helping them steal all her assets. This is done in collaboration with Zurda, who has been steadily building a resistance against the current Queen Bee of La Quebrada. However, things go sideways once Beatriz, the prison’s director, and Antin discover Julian’s abduction hours before the trade is meant to take place. Consequently, they shut down the operation, compelling Gladys to find other ways to save her grandson. Once Julian manages to escape from his cage, the situation grows even more adverse, backing Antin into an impossible corner. Alternatively, his escape puts Nicole in a vulnerable position as Gringa discovers the truth of her betrayal. As a result, the diabolical woman gang rapes Nicole and extracts all her secrets. In the end, Antin deals with Julian’s problem by killing him in cold blood. In the aftermath, he tries to walk away from the situation scotch-free by using the women around him as scapegoats.
In the Mud Season 2 Ending: Who Does Aquino Kill For Julian’s Murder?
Julian’s kidnapping initially takes place in an effort to level a dangerous playing field. Aquino has abducted Gladys’ grandson as a twisted attempt to control and punish his grandmother. Thus, decides to give his son the same treatment. Eventually, it bears the fruit that she had been hoping for as the drug lord agrees to make an exchange, restoring both heirs to their families. Nonetheless, by then, the internal power struggle between Gringa and Zurda shuts down the outings operation, robbing Gladys of her opportunity to get out and make the exchange. In a moment of desperation, she decides to reveal the truth of Julian’s abduction to Antin. She’s hoping to appeal to some parental side in Antin that would allow her to go through with the exchange and save her grandson’s life. Instead, he decides to keep Julian under lock and key, possibly to use him to his own advantage against the latter’s dad.

Nonetheless, this ends up costing Antin in the long run. Gladys manages to save her grandson through her own methods, leaving Julian useless to her. Around the same time, the racecar driver manages to escape from the abandoned part of the prison long enough to realize where exactly he is. This puts La Quebrada and its commanding officials at risk. Once Julian inevitably returns to his father, he would know exactly who to blame for, and seek revenge against, for his abuse and mistreatment. Off-the-bat, Beatriz, who wanted the drug lord’s son gone as soon as the discovery was made, wipes her hands off the situation. Inversely, Antin comes to an extreme solution. He realizes that the only way to escape the Aquino family’s wrath is to ensure Julian’s kidnapping cannot be traced back to him. As a result, he orders his men to drive the man out into the middle of nowhere and execute him.
In the aftermath, Antin aims to push Gladys under the bus. He brings the woman out into a warehouse, where he has set up a meeting with Aquino. In the meeting, he manipulates the drug lord into thinking the convict is responsible for his son’s death. Initially, the woman begs for her life and makes her case by telling him the truth of the series of events that led to Julian’s death. Surprisingly enough, the gang leader ends up believing her. This is because he has another witness against the politician: Beatriz. Antin has already used her as a scapegoat to blame for all the mayhem that unfolded in the prison itself. Therefore, she’s eager to get revenge on him by bringing him his just desserts. Thus, the father wards off any manipulation and pins the right man for his son’s murder. In the end, Aquino allows Gladys to shoot Antin in the leg and feeds him to his savage dogs afterward.
Does Gringa Die? Who Becomes the New Head of La Quebrada?
From the get-go, Gringa remains a problem to be solved in La Quebrada. As a new transfer with an extensive criminal background, the gang leader has no interest in actually caring for the well-being of the rest of the inmates. Instead, she forms a tight-knit gang around her and then sets up a hierarchy of power within the prison walls. This means that while Zurda and her group do the heavy-lifting of making money from the operation, Gringa and her gang are the ones who benefit the most from it. Inevitably, this leads to conflict among the rest of the inmates who are greatly unhappy under the kingpin’s rule.

Zurda, who has been vying for control in the facility for a long time, jumps on this opportunity and prepares a secret rebellion against Gringa. However, the final piece of the puzzle arrives with Gladys. Once Gladys realizes that she won’t be able to rescue her grandson through Julian, she looks for other plans. By then, she has figured out the exact location where the kid might be kept hostage. Therefore, she needs a man on the outside who can be trusted to run a rescue mission. Thus, in enters Lalo, Zurda’s husband. He agrees to help out in the rescue mission if Gladys agrees to back his wife up in the uprising against Gringa.
Eventually, the latter realizes the other woman is a threat once she learns of her misadventures through Nicole. As such, she uses Yael to draw her out into the yard, where a final confrontation takes place. This creates the perfect distraction for Zurda’s collaborators to attack Gringa’s gang spread throughout the jail without allowing them the chance to regroup. Consequently, in the end, Gringa finds herself all alone in the prison yard, outnumbered against Zurda’s uprising. Her reign finally comes to an end with the death of her and her daughter, orchestrated in a mass stabbing led by Zurda. Although the woman has to spend some time in solitary confinement to pay for these crimes, no real consequences befall her. After all, Antin needs a ringleader to continue the outings operation. Thus, power shifts in La Quebrada once again.
Do Nicole and Solita Escape Prison? Do They End Up Together?
One of the prominent subplots in this season revolves around the romance between Nicole and Solita. The former ends up in prison after being betrayed by a man who uses her for money laundering and trafficking, and ends up ratting her out to save his own skin. Once in prison, she still has to find a way to earn enough money to send to her mother, who is taking care of her son. As such, she ends up joining the outings operation and falls in with Gringa’s gang. Nonetheless, her relationship with the latte is pure survival. In reality, she’s in love with another inmate, Solita. Naturally, the nature of their affair, which has to take place behind the backs of the prison’s kingpin and her minions, remains deeply dangerous. For the same reason, the two women are looking for ways to make their great escape.

This eventually arrives in the form of Julian. Somehow, Nicole ends up getting stuck with babysitting duties for the kidnapped man. Over the course of their numerous encounters, he ends up offering her a large sum of money in exchange for his freedom. This inspires the desperate mother to come up with a plan. She dupes Julian out of his money by convincing him to give her his bank details with fake promises of breaking him out. Afterward, she employs her mother’s help to get these funds out of the international account. Down the road, her dynamic with Julian ends up costing her when he tricks her into unlocking his shackles and makes a run for his life, leaving her in his cage. Nonetheless, even after Gringa finds her and brutally abuses and tortures her, Nicole manages to survive.
In the aftermath of Gringa’s death, the last phase of Nicole and Solita’s plan unravels. As Zurda relaunches the nightly outings operations, both women fall back into line as seductresses on the job. However, once outside the prison and inside the luxurious venue that is their hunting ground, the duo breaks away from the group. As it turns out, Nicole had instructed her mother to use some of the stolen money to leave a car for her in the building’s parking garage. Thus, it doesn’t take the two women long to get their ride and drive away to their freedom. Ultimately, the pair of lovebirds manage to find their happy ending together, escaping from the prison, reuniting with Nicole’s son, and starting a new chapter in their lives together.
Do Helena and Cristian Get Married? What Happens to Their Son?
Helena is another new character that the narrative follows this season. She’s a teacher who has been using her talents to help out her fellow inmates inside the prison. Therefore, she’s fairly well-liked among the rest of the convicts. Nonetheless, this is only because they don’t know her secret: the real reason behind her imprisonment. Helena is a pedophile who groomed and raped one of her high school students and eventually had a son with him. Even after her conviction, her victim, Cristian, remains convinced that he is actually in love with his former teacher. As such, she’s able to continue using him for monetary reasons, continuing to emotionally manipulate and abuse him. In fact, as Cristian finally turns 18, he visits her in prison and proposes marriage between them, entirely brainwashed by her lies and deceit.

However, shortly thereafter, Helena’s secret comes out inside the prison. The rest of the convicts don’t take too well to the knowledge that the teacher is actually a pedophile. As such, in a chaotic riot, they end up beating her to near-death. This launches a child service protection investigation into the inmate who had so far been allowed to raise her son with her in prison. Nevertheless, the attack raises concerns about the kid’s safety. Simultaneously, Cristian’s sister, Lucianna, finally manages to open her brother’s eyes to the truth. She finds records of child molestation accusations against Helena, which help Cristian realize that he was only the latest edition in the long list of her victims. As a result, in the end, he decides to cut her out of his life, with the sibling duo claiming full custody of the kid.
