Jake, Justin, and Austin: Where Are the Extracted Runner-ups Now?

Jacob “Jake” Denison, with the help of his teammates and brothers Justin Denison and Austin Legg, was undeniably one of the strongest players mentally and physically in Fox’s ‘Extracted’ season 1. Unfortunately, this did result in him becoming the target of everyone else in the headquarters, resulting in him receiving 8 empty supply crates, but he never once let it get to him. Instead, he made adjustments, ensured he thrived in all survival trials, did the best with what he had, and took advantage of all his brothers’ help from headquarters to ultimately walk away in second place.

Jake Denison is a Proud Family Man and a Corporate Employee

Jake admittedly stepped foot into ‘Extracted’ to prove to his young ones that they can achieve anything and everything they set their minds to, so securing second place was enough for him. He was understandably disappointed that he couldn’t make it all the way despite being so close, but he didn’t regret any of his actions one bit because he played this game of survival with complete authenticity and integrity. His brothers did the same, too, so getting to walk away with just name, fame, and a much, much closer connection to his family was essentially a win for him, regardless.

The truth is, Jake has always been a family man, something he learned from his tight-knit loved ones growing up, so he continues to do his best to follow in their footsteps. From what we can tell, he has been with his wife, the love of his life, hairstylist Kim Corporate Employee, since at least the 2000s, and they happily share 4 children together – 2 sons and 2 daughters. They currently seem to be between the ages of 15 and 6, so ensuring that they grow up in a tight-knit, happy community with both parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends is important to them. What is also important to him is his independent relationship with his wife, which he also makes sure to prioritize. In fact, after ‘Extracted,’ they seemingly took a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, together.

However, Jake also makes sure to teach his kids valuable lessons about struggle, life, and even survival tactics through outdoor activities. After all, since he has a passion for pheasant hunting and fishing, he often takes his kids, nieces, and nephews on such outdoor trips too, making sure that they are safe but also learning new things. On a more professional level, the Idaho native, Dallas Cowboys fan, and former Darigold employee currently serves as a Mortgage Loan Officer at Mountain America Credit Union in Meridian. He reportedly joined this organization in October 2019 as a Member Experience Officer, only to quickly rise up the ranks and become an Assistant Branch Manager in July 2020 before ultimately securing his present title in August 2021.

Justin Denison is Perfectly Balancing a Big Family Life With a Significant Career

While it’s unclear precisely when Justin first came across his loving life partner, Megan Gines Denison, we do know they have been together since at least the early 2010s and now share 4 adorable kids together. They actually have three sons and a daughter, with their youngest being born in January 2019, completing their family for good. Like Jake, his elder brother Austin also prioritizes family time above all else, which is made evident through his social media platforms, the majority of which comprise him doing different activities with his wife, his kids, his brothers, and his parents. The Idaho native also grew up with hunting and fishing, so he too maintains these passions to this day, all the while also juggling his successful career as an Optometrist.

Justin had reportedly developed an interest in STEM at an early age, so by the time he graduated from high school, he had decided to pursue a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University. That’s where he found his niche calling in Optometry, driving him to subsequently earn a degree in the same at Arizona’s Midwestern University from 2009 to 2013. It was then that he kickstarted his career as a full-fledged Optometrist at The Eye Associates, only to leave this organization behind less than 4 years later. Since then, this self-proclaimed “King of the Castle,” “Dream Husband,” “Favorite Dad to 4 Mini-Mes,” and “Mountain Man” has proudly been serving people of all ages with different kinds of issues at Boise Vision Care in Boise.

Austin Legg is Truly a Jack of Many Trades

While Austin might not have had the perfect life before finding his family in the Denisons, he is currently leading a very happy, fulfilled, and creative life full of love and adventure, which is all that truly matters. Like his brothers, not only is he a happily married father of four – 2 young boys and 2 young girls with his wife Karalee Legg – but he also has an incredible career. Thanks to his upbringing, the family-oriented man has a deep passion for all things outdoors, which has since helped him evolve into a backcountry hunter and a renowned bigfoot expert, taking him all across the world, like Greenland, Egypt, Turkey, etc.

As if that’s not enough, Justin also has a more traditional career as a specialist in marketing and brand management. In fact, upon earning a Bachelor’s in Psychology (2009-2013) and a Master’s in Business Administration (2015-2017) from Boise State University, he has done wonders in the business industry. After serving at the Idaho Department of Corrections as a Sergeant and CERT Squad Leader for a few years (prior to earning his MBA), he evolved into a Marketing Director for various companies over several years. Then, he was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Riton Optics from 2021 to 2022 before launching his own company RTL Media, through which he not only creates social media content but also manages brand building. He is thus a rising public figure, with different posts, ranging from fun livestreams to promos for survivalist gear to snapshots of his own personal experiences. Furthermore, he has also been actively serving as the Brand Manager at Ridgeline Insights since 2022, a position he seems proud to hold even today.
