Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy’s ‘The Good Daughter’ Begins Filming in Atlanta in March

Karin Slaughter’s novel will be brought to life on the screen this year! Peacock’s ‘The Good Daughter,’ starring Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy, will start filming in Atlanta, Georgia, in March. In her television writing debut, Slaughter herself is adapting her book for the screen.

The series centers on Charlotte and Samantha Quinn, two sisters who have spent nearly three decades trying to rebuild their lives after a traumatic night of violence that shattered their family. When a new attack rocks the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte, now a lawyer like her father, becomes the first witness on the scene. As the case unfolds with a series of startling revelations, she is forced to confront her past. Both sisters are left questioning whether their sacrifices to be the “good daughters” were worth the cost.

Byrne is known for portraying Kelly Radner in ‘Neighbors,’ Helen in the cult comedy ‘Bridesmaids,’ and Renai Lambert in the horror movie ‘Insidious.’ Her recent credits include Sheila Rubin in Apple TV+’s ‘Physical’ and Sylvia in the Seth Rogen-led ‘Platonic.’

Fahy previously portrayed Daphne Sullivan in HBO’s drama series ‘The White Lotus,’ Sutton Brady in ‘The Bold Type,’ and Clara Thompson in ‘Miss Sloane.’ Her most recent work is Netflix’s ‘The Perfect Couple,’ in which she starred as Merritt Monaco.

Slaughter is no stranger to seeing her work brought to the screen. Her ‘Will Trent’ novel series has been adapted into the ABC show of the same name, which follows Special Agent Will Trent, a man who grew up in Atlanta’s strained foster care system after being abandoned at birth. In addition, Netflix turned the author’s ‘Pieces of Her’ into a miniseries starring Toni Collette and Bella Heathcote.

Atlanta is a significant filming location for several of the high-profile recent releases, including ‘Red One’ and Netflix’s ‘The Six Triple Eight’ and ‘Our Little Secret.’
