By the finale, Scott and Luke qualified directly for the Super Box challenge due to their prize totals, facing Macy and Jasmine. After a brief and tightly contested round that hinged on chance as much as strategy, Joey and Scott secured all three keys, opening the Super Box and winning $300,000 in Bitcoin.
Joey and Scott Work Towards Curating New Spaces and Experiences Today
Joey and Scott Linwell bring together two distinct professional paths that have consistently intersected through shared projects, design-driven businesses, and place-based work. Scott is a lifelong resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, apart from four years at Appalachian State University, where he earned a degree in criminal justice with a minor in political science. Since 1992, he has worked as a real estate broker, building long-standing expertise in Charlotte’s neighborhoods, zoning patterns, and development trends. Alongside brokerage work, he has written for local publications on the city’s growth and history and has been quoted in regional broadcast coverage related to real estate and urban change. Joey relocated from Atlanta to Charlotte in 2002 and wanted to build a creative career.
After graduating from the Aveda Institute, he became a stylist closely associated with local broadcast talent. He later opened J.Studio, a boutique salon in Charlotte’s South End, which led to an ongoing relationship with the local Fox affiliate and periodic appearances as a co-host on its entertainment segment. Beyond hair, Joey’s work spans fashion editing for Uptown Magazine and contributions to Elevate and SEEN, alongside parallel pursuits in design, painting, carpentry, and food. Together, Joey and Scott have developed four major projects. The first was the NoDa Company Store, a neighborhood-focused social space that combined food, drink, and community programming. The second grew from that model: the NoDa Company Canteen and later the Canteen at Camp North End, where they operated seasonal outdoor concessions and later designed and built an indoor venue from a raw industrial shell.
The space also functioned as a bookable event venue and earned recognition for both design and guest reviews before being sold in 2025. Their third major project, Fort Linwell, was an off-grid waterfront property in Port Royal, Roatán, Honduras. The remote, solar-powered site reflected their interest in sustainability and history and was held for several years before being sold in 2025. The fourth project centers on residential and commercial renovation in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood, where they combined living, working, gardening, and client-facing businesses within a single property. Today, they remain based in Charlotte, continuing to work independently in real estate, design, and creative consulting, while selectively pursuing future development opportunities.

At home, they regularly cook together and use that time as a way to stay connected amid busy schedules. Together, these patterns define how Joey and Scott structure their life and maintain stability over time.
