Fox’s ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ is a reality dating series wherein four handsome, hardworking farmers begin a journey to search for their forever love, leading to many emotional connections. After all, they begin by courting a total of 8 women before inviting 5 of them back to their respective farms, and there, through a series of dates and activities, they decide what they really want in life. Amongst them in season 3 was Soy, Corn, and Wheat Farmer John Sansone from St. Louise, Missouri, who actually ended up falling hard for Medical Sales Representative Claire Dirette.
John Sansone and Claire Dirette’s Romance Was One For the Books
Although John Sansone was admittedly enamored by Claire Dirette’s beauty the moment he first came across them, their conversation during the short speed date was almost non-existent. The only saving grace of it was that she had actually crocheted him a scarf just the night before and gifted it to him, which he truly appreciated, resulting in her being chosen in the top 5. However, at his farm, it took them a while to really begin connecting on a deeper level since he had really set his sights on Samantha Riehl, that is, until she ended up quitting in episode 5.
It was only after this that John and Clarie really began talking, just for him to learn that although they are different in terms of their upbringing and beliefs, the emotions between them are mutual. He even conceded that she makes him laugh whenever she is around, not long after, after which she also admitted that he is always on his mind owing to his kindness and understanding. Nevertheless, because of their differences – with him being rather “traditional” and her being much more open-minded – their future was unsure until the very end. They did choose one another, though, simply because they accepted each other as who they really are, and it actually complemented them. After the decision, she even gifted him a hat to go along with the scarf, before they literally drove off into the sunset together.
John and Claire Have Seemingly Managed to Make Things Work
While it’s true that John and Claire are far from an ideal couple on paper with the way they look at life and their future differently, they are a happy and healthy one as they keep an open mind. Their time in the show made it evident that instead of being judgmental, they are always open to hearing one another’s perspective, and we believe this has translated into the real world, too. After all, not only do they follow one another on social media, but they also openly keep in touch via cheeky likes, comments, and posts together, as seen above. In other words, it appears as if they have managed to maintain a romantic relationship between them despite being long-distance by actually putting in efforts for one another. However, since neither of them has explicitly confirmed this as of writing, we should mention that even if the worst-case scenario of them not being together is true, it’s evident they are at least still on amicable terms.
John and Claire Are Both Ambitious and Family-Oriented Individuals
If there’s one thing absolutely no one can deny, it’s that John Sansone is both ambitious and family-oriented. As the eldest of 6 siblings, he has essentially been a second father to a lot of them, all the while working on the family farm. That’s just part of why he hadn’t been able to find a life partner or open up to women on a deeper level, that is, until he stepped into the Fox original show. And now, at the age of 25, he seems to embrace every learning from it to continue leading a fulfilled life full of farming, music, friends, and family around him, which may also include Claire.
This rising public figure is also a hunting enthusiast and can often be found shooting game whenever he is not working or enjoying quality time with loved ones. As for Claire, although she is a native of Portage, Michigan, it appears as if she is currently based in Chicago, Illinois, where she serves as a Sales Representative at Hikma Pharmaceuticals. She actually graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s in Human Biology in 2022, but she had already kickstarted her career in 2019. She initially served as an Associate Caregiver at Brookdale Assisted Living from March 2019 to May 2021, following which she was a Medical Scribe at Ascension Borgess Health Park from January 2021 to February 2022.
Then, she served as a Medical Assistant at the Center of Dermatology until August 2023 before joining Xellia Pharmaceuticals as a Sales Associate for just over a year. So, she has been at Hikma Pharmaceuticals since September 2024, all the while embracing life in every way. From hanging out with friends and exploring new restaurants to traveling and undertaking new adventures, this dog mom does it all while also keeping her family close to her heart.
