Over the years, many actors have fallen prey to the side effects of fame and fortune. The same can be said of several child actors, whose transition from the sets to reality was not as smooth as we’d all hoped for. The star of ‘Home Improvement,’ Zachery Ty Bryan, is one of the subjects of Investigation Discovery’s ‘Hollywood Demons: Child Stars Gone Violent,’ which delves deep into the life and career of the former child actor. The documentary also sheds light on his unstable relationship with his on-off-fiancée — Johnnie Faye Cartwright.
Johnnie Faye Cartwright is a Model With Immense Experience Under Her Belt
After graduating from Thurston High School, Johnnie Faye Cartwright seemingly focused on her modeling career, aspiring to make a significant impact in the industry. Soon enough, she began thriving as a model and landed several lucrative projects, especially in the 2010s. After being the face of Starlooks Cosmetics from 2013 to 2015, her career took off. Simultaneously, she also worked as a Jetpack Instructor at Jetpack America in Newport Beach, California.
Over the years, Johnnie has modeled for several brands, such as Tanda Pearl Ionic Teeth Whitening System, Wimbo Apparel, Hard time E-Juice, Midtown Direct Eugene, Slash and Burn Clothing, and more. Furthermore, she has been featured in Locale Magazine, Eugene Weekly, K&N 2015 calendar, and Griffon Industries 2015 calendar. For a couple of years, from November 2017 to 2019, Johnnie was also employed at Reaction Model Management in Portland, Oregon.
Johnnie Faye Cartwright’s World Revolves Around Her Kids
In 2020, Johnnie Faye Cartwright began dating Zachery Ty Bryan, a former child actor known for his role in ‘Home Improvement.’ Sooner rather than later, in October of the same year, the couple reportedly got involved in a heated argument in their Lane County, Oregon, residence. It resulted in Zachery’s arrest for felony strangulation, misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, and interfering with making a police report. In February 2021, he pled guilty to two of the charges and was sentenced to three years of bench probation. He was also ordered to not have contact with Johnnie. Despite the verdict, Johnnie continued dating him. As a matter of fact, they got engaged in November 2021. Things started looking up for the couple as they welcomed their daughter, Kennedy, in April 2022.

Just over a year later, on May 14, 2023, Johnnie gave birth to a set of lovely twins, Parker and Sequoia. Unfortunately, in late July, Johnnie was reportedly assaulted by her on-off-fiancé once again, which resulted in him being arrested. Following the incident, Johnnie opened up about it in an interview with US Weekly while Zachery was in police custody. She stated, “I’ll always want what’s best for the father of my children. Trauma can bring struggles in many shapes and forms. It’s a horrible situation that’s going to be spun in so many ways. I’ve learned firsthand the truth will never align with what’s been put out there. I ask everyone to please be respectful of our privacy for the sake of the children and our families so the healing process can begin.”
Ultimately, he was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and ordered to have no contact with Johnnie. This time, he was warned that if he failed to comply with any of the terms, he would be incarcerated behind bars for 19-20 months. Ever since then, Johnnie has been serving as the single mother to her three kids, spending quality time with them. She is also seemingly a mother to her furry little baby named Colt. As far as her relationship with Zachery is concerned, it is not revealed whether they are still engaged or have decided to part ways for good.
