Prime Video’s ‘Beast Games’ is known for bringing together participants from vastly different backgrounds and much of the excitement comes from watching them unite to overcome a series of demanding challenges. In Season 2, Joseph “JT” Torres quickly earned the confidence of several fellow players in a short span of time. He built a loyal core group, and together they pushed through challenge after challenge. However, with only one eventual winner, the journey was never going to stay simple. As the competition intensified, JT was forced to confront difficult decisions that tested both his loyalty and resolve.

Joseph “JT” Torres entered the season as a member of Team Strong and wasted little time in proving why he belonged there. From the very first challenge, he grasped just how demanding the competition would be and began aligning himself with players who shared his mindset. Alongside contestants like Player 162 Tyler and Player 148 Ian, JT believed that if the strongest and fittest competitors stayed united, they would significantly improve their chances of going far in the game. Tensions rose ahead of the second round when contestants from Season 1 were allowed to re-enter and switch teams, a twist JT was clearly unhappy with. His frustration became evident during the second challenge, where he chose to compete in the Balls game alongside Player 539 Akira.
JT openly stated that he did not trust Akira based on his gameplay in the previous season and encouraged others to target him. At one point, nearly everyone focused their efforts on Akira, bombarding him with balls and eventually, Akira was eliminated in the following round, much to JT’s relief. The third challenge brought the obstacle course, where JT stepped up as team captain. This round required a coordinated team race, and JT led by example, being the first to take on the course. His strong start gave his team an advantage and helped them secure victory. Later, during the Captain Bribery challenge, JT was again selected as a captain, a clear sign that his teammates trusted him and believed he would not betray them for money at that stage of the game.

Joseph “JT” Torres has always been driven by athletics and leadership, and these traits have shaped both his professional and personal journey. A standout baseball player, JT competed at the Division I level with Iona College, where he honed his skills against elite collegiate competition. His talent carried him into the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), a highly competitive summer league known for producing future professional players. During the summer of 2013, JT’s performance earned him MVP honors. In 2015, his baseball career reached another milestone when he was selected to play in the Canadian Independent League.
This opportunity placed him in a professional environment that demanded adaptability and maturity. Competing internationally further broadened JT’s understanding of the game and solidified his identity as both a player and a leader. Today, JT channels that experience into Brooklyn Sluggers, a New York-based baseball team that he owns. JT remains closely involved as a specialist instructor and works hands-on with athletes to refine technique, conditioning, and mental toughness.
Beyond baseball, JT is a certified fitness trainer, holding credentials such as ACE CPT (Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise). Alongside his athletic pursuits, he maintains a full-time career in public service. After graduating from the NYS Courts Academy in 2017 and earning his instructor patch in June 2021, he continues to serve as a New York Court Officer. IT is a role that demands integrity, physical readiness, and a strong sense of responsibility. JT’s life today reflects the same discipline and commitment he brought to the season.

Joseph “JT” Torres has also built a peaceful and meaningful life off the field. He has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Tori Joe, and the two have grown together over the years. Recently, they took a major step forward by purchasing a home together, marking a new chapter in their journey as a couple. JT and Tori make it a point to celebrate holidays, milestones, and special occasions side by side. Their relationship reflects mutual support and deep affection, and JT has often expressed his desire to give Tori the very best as they continue building their future together.
